Reading, writing, walking, yoga, singing, massage therapy, spending time with family and friends, thinking while staring at the ceiling and a gang of other stuff you should ask me about...
You who don't suck. Those who have a inkling of how much they need the Lord in their lives. People who are kind, and folks that laugh whole heartedly. Everybody else: I'm minding my own business, why don't you as well?
Random 7 favorite genres: Gospel, Classical, Jazz, Opera, Standards, Soul, Old School R&B (90's).
Random 7 favorites: High Fidelity, P.S. I love you, Reign on Me, LOTR (trilogy), Transformers, Cradle Will Rock, Gladiator. I like movies a whole bunch; it's the modern representation of the collective unconscious.
So now I have direct tv and my choices are much improved. I need to watch less in fact...However the following channels and shows take my attention regularly and happily; Ugly Betty, Pysch, No Reservations, Discovery Health, Cartoon Network,TLC, Travel channel, HGTV and good ole' Food Network.
Near anything written by: C.S. Lewis, Irvin Yalom, J.R.R. Tolkien, Robert Jordan, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Shakespeare, e.e. cummings, Edna St. Vincent Millay, E.G. White, C.G. Yung, Langston Hughes, Toni Morrison, Jane Austen, Andrew Wheat, translations of Rumi. Old and always good; NKJV Bible (yep that's the book for me). Got any suggestions for new favorites?
Jesus (Love, how do you love like this?), my parents (I'm turning into ya'll, but hopefully the best parts), Fulton (for his patience, and ability to use silence), my sister (for her pure old soul-like insight), my brother (for just getting through school and becoming a good man in the process), Meesh (he has wandered and yet found home in peace and people), Gena (you have walked where I am going and have done so with grace, kindness and wariness), and Andrew (he is wise, imaginative and makes me want to live deliberately with an email or a look). New addition: patient people who live for the journey and not the destination.
