Steve & Josie have become very good friends since last year in February.
I had left a message in Steve's guestbook on his website at stevestevens.net.
Not anything unusual.
I was always checking things out and letting them know I was thinking of them.
Next thing I knew I got an email from Josie!
And so the friendship began.!

I met them at the 2005 Boston show.
OH WHAT A SHOW THAT WAS!
A dream come true!
Anyway......
Recently Steve and Josie waited to release this solo CD on my 35th birthday -March 4th 2008.
They sent me a signed copy early.
And they told me there was a surprise in the credits!
OMG!!
Steve thanked me along with Josie and all their family and friends!

Where do I begin....... I Had the night of my life! I got something Royal Air Mail from Carole before we headed out to the Boston show.It was a picture of me with my Rebel Yell t-shirt with my shades on. There were 3 notes. From Carole Billy & Steve! To Ron #1 Rocker ! Steve Stevens and Billy wrote: To Ron Rock on Boston Billy Idol. We were so excited! Carole sent a little note along with it telling me they would be looking for me! She wrote: Was thinking of you all when I was over and I will be thinking of you when you are at Boston. I hope you enjoy this. I told Billy and Steve to look out for you Big hug to you all, *Carole* She timed that just right to get it to us Friday afternoon. WOW! She's something else! When we got to Boston and when we were getting out of the van there was this great big biker dude. He asked if I was Ron. He told us his name is Bob a good friend of Carole's She did mention that Toast Tom -Donna Bob and Phil would be taking good care of us at the show. They sure did! Although Phil must have gotten lost. That would be real easy to do in Boston. We were escorted to our seats by the event staff supervisor. She told us wait til you see where you will be. She led us to the front row left side of the stage. Little did we know what was in store for us! We spotted Tom and Donna as they were coming in. One of the security guys told me I want to see you rocking! He was real happy for me. Every body was. We started greeting Tom and Donna with smiles and hugs and were very happy to see them again. They were so cold because they are used to Florida temps. The cool ocean breeze was coming through the tent but I was pumping out heat so bad I was warming Donna up. We all spoke of how much we missed Carole being there with all of us like at the 2003 show. Donna started to ask me if I would like to meet Billy and Steve after the show. I was so elated! She said I will see what I can do. We watched Donna go to Toast and ask him if I could. It took a while but when Toast was on the stage before the show started he gave me the thumbs up! My eyes were as big as saucers and my heart was racing. I thought to myself OMG! I am going to meet Billy and Steve! OMG! Tom and Donna were so happy for me and my Mum and Dad. They told us to wait for them after the show so they could help us get to where only a chosen few were able to meet Billy and Steve. Next thing I know the show was about to begin. What a show it was! The music starts Billy is pumping his fist singing his heart out with Super Overdrive. I was in super overdrive in my wheelchair. We noticed Toast up there near the amp tapping to the beat with his drumstick. With a big smile he walked to the edge of the stage and tossed it to Mum for me. Then I saw Steve look right at me! He gave me a smile and nodded to let me know he knew who I was. What a thrill! Then he left Billy and the band on the main stage and ran over to be in front of me to play his more than awesome guitar. I was thinking OMG! Steve Stevens is right in front of me! OMG! He is wailing on his guitar for me! Then he tossed his pic to Mum to save for me. As this was going on Billy was watching Steve so now Billy knows where I am. Next thing I know Billy is right in front of me singing Dancing with Myself! My heart was about to jump out of my chest and Mum was worried that my seatbelt would snap and I would go flying on the floor. But luckily it held together. I did have my brakes on but with all my dancing and excitement the wheelchair was moving closer and closer to the stage. Mum was afraid I was going to trip people coming and going. How can anyone there not be glued to Billy and Steve and the band? They are such fools. Billy waited for World Coming Down to come up on the playlist. When it was time he jumped off the stage onto the amp right in front of me. Mum pushed me up close to him so Billy could reach my hand. I was in shock! Billy Idol is holding my hand singing World Coming Down on Me.I was in disbelief. He touched my hair and face just like Carole did when we first met her with Tom and Donna at the 2003 concert in Boston. I felt Carole was with us. Her spirit was coming through Billy. Throughout the show both Billy and Steve came to me to play their songs and it was such a beautiful feeling. Billy kept on giving me stuff. He would toss the paper plates and cups out into the crowd. What a neat idea that was. He would come to me and reach out to hand me my paper plate a drumstick and the playlist. WOW! He kept on running around while entertaining the whole place. It was more than awesome! During one of the songs Steve ran over to me and he played his guitar behind his head. I don't know how he does that. He blows my mind! I have to tell you when Billy was singing World Coming Down on Me All the girls were gathering around in front of me to be near Billy. I can't blame them. But suddenly 8 security staff removed them really fast. They all turned to look at me. Then Mum pushed me up to be near Billy. The whole place became black and the spot light was on me and Billy. OMG! I was in awe! I lost my sneaker because I was rock'n with Billy. He made me feel so good. I have to tell you the other fans around me were going crazy. They were wondering if I knew Billy. They were saying stuff like this: WOW! What a nice guy Billy is! I never knew he was this great! That kid must be flipping out! Holy F**k! Holy s**t! What the f**k! Meanwhile Dad was passing out the website cards for Carole. The couple next to me was going nuts! Luckily Dave had a tiny digital camera and snapped a bunch of photos of me and Billy. Only one came out clear. We exchanged email addys so he could send it out to me. I am sure you have seen it and the other excellent photos Tom took of me and Billy meeting after the show.Billy sang 'Ready -Steady Go' with me! I was rock'n out with Billy Idol! I got to tell all of you that Billy-Steve-Steve M.-Brian and Dereck put on more than an unbelievable show for all their fans to enjoy. They love their fans! I absolutely love my Devil's Playground CD Mum got it for my birthday in March.. I play it every day as long as I can. If you are lucky enough to get to their show you will hear them play a bunch of new songs! "Super Overdrive" "Scream" "Cherie" "Rat Race" "Evil Eye" "World" "Plastic Jesus" The place was jumping. It was like we were all partying with the band! .And the added songs! "Heartbreak Hotel" "Who Are You" and "Jump" OMG! Plus lots of classics that we all know well. When the guys played "Mony Mony" Toast was slamming the drums and all the guys were playing guitars. They are very talented. What a show they put on! I hope all you diehard fans get to see the guys this tour. You'll be blown away! Ok it was the end of the show. Time to meet Billy and Steve! I was freaking out! Tom and Donna were so happy for me. As they were taking us back stage Tom told a security guy that we were with him. I felt so VIP! I was getting so excited! OMG! I was going to meet Billy and Steve whom I have loved since I was a little boy watching MTV in the early 80's Tom told us to stay right where he put us but I saw Steve and Josie with all their luggage about to leave! I had to meet Steve and thank him for more than an awesome time. So Mum wheeled me toward him. He was so happy to meet me! Giving me a big smile while asking if I got his guitar pic. He also asked me how many times I have seen them in concert. I told him 3 times in my life. The very 1st time we went to their show was the Whiplash Smile tour. What a blast! Billy had jumped up on the amp and pointed right at me! I was so excited that I almost tossed myself and Dad over the banister. I was small then so Dad could hold me on his lap while sitting on the banister because too many fans got right in front of me when I was in my wheelchair. Thank God Dad caught his balance because we would have wiped out a lot of people. As I was saying: We were saying our good-byes to Steve and Josie before they took off. That felt so good to chat. We scooted back to wait for Billy. Suddenly he appeared before our eyes. My heart was in Super Overdrive! I said to myself Is this really happening to me? My dream is coming true! We waited for Billy to spend time with other fans. Then there he was! He gives me the biggest smile as he walks toward me. He puts both hands on my shoulders to stabilize me And then to my surprise he places his head on my chest and tells me that he loves me. I couldn't say anything. I was in shock! Then Mum thanked Billy and told him what a beautiful thing he has done for me. They hugged gently and kissed each other on the cheeks. Then Billy came back to me Standing on my left side Wrapped his arms around my neck I had my left arm around his shoulder as we hugged he told me that he loved me again. He then shook my Dad's hand as we were saying our good-byes. To my surprise he shouted "I love this man!" For all to hear. My heart just melted! Then Billy needed to spend time with all his other devoted fans. Toast came up to me and told me that I am a member of the band now! I felt so honored WOW! It was time to leave. Donna showed us the way out. We said our thank you's and good-byes. Tom and Donna are the kindest people you would ever want to meet. I hope you will be lucky enough to meet them yourselves some day A special thank you from my heart.
