My Interests

I love it all, how can I make a list?? I love being Mama to the custest, sweetest, funniest, most luvablest lil pequeno boy ever, famn damily, bestest friends, music, reading (if i could bring one thing on a desert island, it would be a book store), gettin muh work out on (or gettin muh tv watchin on, however it looks to you...), music, burping loud, laughing till it hurts my tummy, eating, drinking, eatin and drinkin some more, driving when its freezing cold with the windows down and the heater up, sunrises, long kisses, forgiveness, cell phones, deep thoughts, shallow thoughts... i'm sorta fascinated with darkness--EVIL--death, but... go ahead and laugh, cuz i be oh so evil and all, high heels, art that my heart can see, theatre, politics, libraries (BOOKS), music, history, MY history, learning lessons, conversations that start in the daylight through the night and into the next day, my baby's babbling waking me up in the mornin, finally knowing what REAL love is, compassion, popsicles, sushi, pretty cars, fast cars, pretty cars that are fast, dreams, understanding the journey, all the people who make me laugh every day, cell phone cameras, smiles from strangers, smiling back at strangers, my little brother, ok the whole family (dev and i never lack for love), good hair days, make-up, SLeePing, muuuusic, pedicures, dancing by myself, closing my eyes and still seeing, crying tears for the joyful moments- bc there are so many, did i say MUSIC?, remembering to appreciate the moment-in the moment, singing out loud with my son and he LOVES it (he doesn't even know my voice cracks) ...making lists....

"Only when we give joyfully, without hesitation
or thought of gain, can we truly know what love means."

I'd like to meet:

----"The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances,
if there is any reaction... both are transformed." ----
Carl Jung

Music:

i don't have the time or energy to make this list. but my taste in music is impeccable and so far, unmatched.
*smirk, wink, chuckle.

...What will grow crooked, you can't make straight
it's the price that you gotta pay.
Do yourself a favour and pack your bags...
buy a ticket and get on the train.

I am your black swan--I made it to the top,
but this is fucked up... fucked up.
This is your blind spot... blind spot.
It should be obvious, but its not...

Movies:

Super Troopers, SLC Punk, Monty Python, The Life of Brian (lol), Ferris Bueller, ALL TIM BURTON'S, American Graffiti, Snatch, Gone in 60 Seconds, Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, Little Miss Sunshine, 21 Grams, GO, The Salton Sea, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas... OK MAKE THAT EVERY JOHNNY DEPP MOVIE EVER MADE, Idiocracy, Team America, Austin Powers (it's a really good plan!), Office Space, Casablanca, V for Vendetta, The Burbs, Better off Dead, Crouching Tiger, Wayne's World (yes, I still love this movie), Road to Perdition, No Country for Old Men, The Odd Couple... lots of movies that I can't recall right now...

"Be careful who you love. Be careful what you do before the lie becomes the truth."

Television:

Really don't watch it (you know it kills brain cells :p) Just Anderson Cooper and Comedy Central (especially Kenny VS Spenny) if I happen to turn it on... oh, and I wish Arrested Developement was still on, I would watch that. oh, and drrrr... THE OFFICE, obviously. uh, also intervention. and all things E!-which i will absolutely deny. in all honesty, my tv is on all day, i'm a news addict (i work at home and my peripheral is hooked to the tv, i usually just switch between the four cable news networks) i try so hard to be a dork. ya, like i said, i never watch tv...

Books:

SOOOO many books, I love non-fiction, fantasy (Lord of the Rings-esque), NEARLY ALL THE CLASSICS, educational, novels, etc. But my favorite author is Gabriel Garcia Marquez (100 Years of Solitude left me wonderfully depressed for about a week and I can't even say why). this list will be random and absolutely incomplete... Catcher in the Rye, of course (the GD Christmas trees, going incognito), All the Kings Men, Les Miserables, Count of Monte Cristo, Invisible Man, 1984, Gone with the Wind, East of Eden, Grapes of Wrath, ALL C.S. Lewis (especially The Great Divorce), Man's Search for Meaning, Currently reading lots of books about taking good care of babies. I'm SO proud of myself!(Also currently, The Art of Happiness by the Dalai Lama (highly recommend) and The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy.

“I cannot walk in the solitude of the night without thinking that
night is pleasing just because it suppresses idle details... just as does memory..."

Heroes:

Life Entry 3-30-2008

Is there more to be given? More to be done or said? To what am I connected or disconnected? Is it even real, or is this just a reminder of my weakness and dependence on a thing I cannot name. Fulfill...

Life Entry 2-21-2008 Rough, crying draft

I guess its just human nature but we have to explain and pretend to understand the things we can't possibly know. People love to believe in heaven versus hell, good against evil. Whatever you want to...

LIfe Entry 2-10-2008

When I finally stop and acknowledge the aching in my heart... I turn around (surprisingly), as if there is an alternate reality waiting for me there that I can simply return to. It feels as though ev...

Life Entry 2-5-2008

February 4, 2008When Dave asks me "What do you hear in the ocean, what do you see in the waves?" All I can think is, "God, when was the last time I saw a REAL ocean?" The sort that reflects my dreams...

JUST FOR YOU...

Isn't it amazing how easily fooled we are by what we call "love"? One finds herself thinking she has found a soul mate, her one and only who completes her life. He is her comfort, her best friend, h...

I stole this from Kelly but its beautiful and its how I feel exactly
