I am currently reading Andy Rooney's MY WAR (yes, THAT Andy Rooney) and FIGHTING SHIPS OF WWII. Favs are: The Winds of War, War and Remembrance, Shaaras' Civil War Trilogy: Gods and Generals, The Killer Angels, The Last Full Measure, Andersonville, Shelby Foote's Civil War: a Narrative, 3 Volumes, WWII related biographies - Allies and Axis, most anything by Carl Hiaasen, Sue Grafton, Anne Tyler and some John Irvin but some of it gets a little strange.
I am proud to honor those who have fought for our liberty and those currently serving in our Armed Forces so we may remain free from oppression today. Through this forum (MySpace) I have been blessed to get acquainted with a few of those brave men and women. I had no idea what a rewarding experience this would prove to be. I can never adequately express my gratitude to you. One word that sums it all up beautifully is VALOR: BOLDNESS OR DETERMINATION IN FACING GREAT DANGER, ESP. IN BATTLE; HEROIC COURAGE; BRAVERY.For all you have endured and will endure - God Bless You.
