My life in the entertainment started around 1987-88 when I started DJ'ing with a friend of mine. During this time around 1991 I met this very talented singer named "Onnie". He had this great freestyle song and I asked him if he need help shopping it around. Well to make a long storie short me and Onnie started Detour Records and started producing freestyle and dance music for other artist. In the 10 years I worked in the music industry I learned from some of the most influential producers and artists of their time. HENRY STONE (Founder of TK Records) (With such artists like KC & The Sunshine Band,George McCrae & Anita Ward) LARRY DAVIS (Village People Band, Gamble & Huff, OJays, James Brown) JAMMIN JOHNNY (Power DJ & Producer) TITO PUENTE JR. (Oye Como Va, Azucar, Sientelo Feel It) CALTON COFFIE (Bad Boys Theme Song, One Race, You Sexy Thing, Hotel California) Just to name a few.After 10 years, five albums and more than a dozen singles. I decided to switch gears back to my childhood dream of filmmaking. Closing the door on Detour Records and starting Godbout Entertainment was the first step. Second was to change location from Miami FL to Orlando FL, Third was to take my experience and knowledge in the music business and apply it to the video & film world.Godbout Entertainment features a post-production, non-linear editing suite with the latest in digital technology. My experience as a producer and composer has added to my experience as a Director & Editor. Since starting Godbout Entertainment in 2000 I have directed & edited music videos, TV commercials & short films.
