Band Members: Brooklyn Indie Market: has joined forces with the Launch and Kirsten DeHaan to bring the local music and fashion industries together in Brooklyn. Brooklyn Indie Market is a collective of fashion and product designers. BIM connects emerging designers, consumers, retail buyers, stylists, personal shoppers to the greater NYC area via traveling markets, fashion events, workshops and showcases. Located under the red and white striped tent on Smith & Union Street, BIM offers the public a first glimpse of the many new names in fashion and product design.This summer SirLady Records signed with Grooveshark. The new p2p sharing comminmity that is leaving its fresh marks in the sand. In addition to teaming up with GS, KD received an overwheliming interview from them grooveshark.com/blog . SirLady Records would like to thank all the folks at Grooveshark for their dedication to KD's work and to indie rock.Grooveshark is a p2p file sharing community thats main goal is creating a marketplace where artists have more control over their music sales, and users can take advantage of the marketplace as well. When someone downloads a song from you on Grooveshark, you automatically earn 25 cents. So the original artist gets the royalties, Grooveshark users get an incentive for promoting music, and Grooveshark gets advertising revenue in a unique and helpful way. Grooveshark also enables users to stream any song in its entirety free of charge. In doing this, members can exchange playlists with other members. This affords users a unique way to discover new music and artists a chance to promote their songs.
