Juampy Juarez is among the most versatile players of Argentina, he can play rock,fusion,jazz and heavy metal with equal facility. He has played in really differents venues,like El Reloj, Luciano Pereyra,Tancredo, Lalo de Los Santos ,Irupe Tarrago Ros, Emme Vitale, Axel, Los Piojos, and with his alternative rock group called Cerebros Vacios(wich had two records and a video with seven months 's rotation in MTV).Besides,Juampy had been teaching at prestigious school of music ITMC for two years, in the improvisation 's area,and was the guitar player and bandleader for Disney channel tv program Zapping Zone for three years in a row, for all Southamerica 's audience.Like producer,Juampy has been producing differents projects,like rock bands "Vieja cepa"(first and second album) and" El tucu y los parroquianos" first album.Today he teachs at his house to fifty students per week.Like clinician,Juampy has been teaching Allan Holdsworth and Frank Gambale 's techniques,the Lenny Breau 's techniques,and David Liebman and Steve Coleman's concepts aplyed to the guitar. Juampy had been played with the best jazz players of Argentina, (Pepi Marrone,Fernando Pugliese,Eduardo Muñoz,Ezequiel Piazza,Sergio Verdinelli, Guillermo Calliero,Luis de la Torre, Tomas Babdjazuck, Juanjo Hermida,Gustavo Camara,Marcelo Torres,Marcelo Kitai,Alejandro Demogli, Hugo Garcia,Adrian Mastrocolla,Luciano Casas,Laura Fau, Horacio Veros, Nico Radicci,Fernando Kiener y Leopoldo Janin( Derviche )Gerardo de Monaco, Fabian Martin, Ricardo Arjona's musicians Alger Erosa and Giovanni Figueroa and New York based musicians like Julio Botti,Joe Berger,Carlos Pavan,Gabriel Hermida, and Bob Blumenthal to name a few). His main jazz project is Powerjazz trio(www.myspace.com/powerjazztrio) ,with Ezequiel Piazza(winner of the Drumfest 2006 at Mendoza,Argentina) and Eduardo Muñoz(Adrian Iaies ,Ricardo Cavalli,Neestor Astarita),a powerful swinging jazz group that caught the attention of THE INCREDIBLE AND INNOVATIVE John Stowell:"I like your trio,well recorded, good interplay ,you have a lyrical aproach to the guitar,and a creative use of space", and MEL BAY ARTIST AND VIRTUOSO Jonathan Kreisberg: "I like the tunes, you have nice intros, and good phrasing".The group edit his first cd in a coule of weeks. He has taken lessons with many guitar greats,like Pat Martino, Jack Wilkins, Jonathan Kreisberg, Sid Jacobs, Gene Bertoncini, Paul Meyers , piano legend Barry Harris, famous argentinians guitar teachers like Carlos Campos, Marcelo Mayor, Armando Alonso and perhaps, his main mentor, maestro Pino Marrone.
