Sex sells, right? That’s what we all hear, and sadly it’s true. Everyone is told to look a certain way. Sexy is classified by what others say. Others say hot is skinny, tan, and blonde hair. Big boobs for the women and the perfect six packs and sexy toned body for men. I mean think about it, would you want to buy a designer dress if a 500 pound model was trying to sell it? I don’t think so. By who's standards are you appalled by just thinking about the 500 pound woman, your own? You might think it’s your standards, but those are standards sold and programmed into you by the media and other outside sources.If it’s not that, “Oh I’ll be different and show them. I’ll have long black hair that falls over my face and into my eyes. I’m such a trend setter. Look at me. I’m going against the stereotypes.” No, you’re not, not anymore. Can’t everyone just be themselves and look the way they really want to and act and do the things they really want to do? Let’s go against the stereotypes and break free!In fashion we’re told what to wear. We basically have no choice, unless we make our own clothes. We honestly don’t need the label. We’re becoming clones under a label. Only judging others on what their labels and price tags say.Everyone’s so fake these days we don’t even know what it means to be real. Plastic this, plastic that. I don’t think it’s cute or trendy, nor a compliment. Popularity, who has more friends…, who cares? If we don’t have a meaningful relationship with any of them, then what’s the point?We all need to think things out and plan for our futures. We need to learn how to prioritize things. Not just taking the easy way out, because baby the easy way out, usually isn’t the best. Life takes a lot of hard work. What we want isn’t always what we need. Life is about balancing our wants and needs in a healthy manner.Please think things out and improve your life and the lives of the people around you. It’s the little changes you do that will make a difference. Give a smile or open a door for someone.
