About Me

Hello everybody. I have a ton of fun being the moderator for the Jimmy Buffett Parrotheads group here on MySpace. I am a 48 year old kid trapped in an adult body. I love having fun even at my own expense. My co-workers never know what to expect and always keep a leery eye out for me. But, when it comes to working, I give 110% and do whatever it takes to take care of you or your property. I was in the Navy for 4 years and now I am a firefighter in San Diego County. I seem to care more for animals sometimes than people and will help them as much as I can. I also have a very soft spot for disabled Vet's and I wish I could do more for them as they stand along the sides of the road asking for help. I love to garden to help relax. We have a place a block from the beach and it has a very tropical look to it and it makes me feel good when people pass by and compliment the house. I also love to learn about computer programming and try to use new techniques as I go along. I'm a big Jimmy Buffett fan and I have a web site about him that I use as I learn new things. If you'd like to visit the site, it's www.12voltman.com. The other thing I love to do is playing co-ed softball for a very sucessful team that the core of the team has been together for the past ten years at the Encinitas "Y". Other interests are kayaking, MMA fighting, creating with wood (i.e. chairs, signs, etc.). It's all I can think of for now. Thanks for reading, ciao...

My Interests

Web design

I'd like to meet:

Jimmy Buffett, Tony Gwynn...I'm sure there are more.

Music:

I love all types, but my favorites is Jimmy Buffett. Other groups at the top of my list are Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Pantera, Alice In Chains.

Movies:

My taste in movies doesn't fall into any one catagory. If it's good, I'll watch. I'm not a big "go to the theater" movie watcher. I'll usually wait and rent on DVD.My favorites of all time are Casablanca, Maltese Falcon, Field of Dreams, M*A*S*H*, any of the Pink Panther's. That's just off the top of my head without really thinking about it.

Television:

I love any channel that's not the major networks (NBC, CBS, etc.). It seems their shows are forever at commercials and geared toward 4th grade intelligence. Stations like National Geographic, BBC America, HGTV, Speed, VH1 digital channels and Music Choice take up the majority of my time.

Books:

Pirate Looks at 50, Where is Joe Merchant, The original Don't Stop The Carnival (found a very old version by Herman Wouk in a thrift store in Long Beach), Salty Piece Of Land.

Heroes:

My hero was my dad. I just wish I was old enough at the time to truly learn from him before he passed away.

My Blog

Is it really 3 AM?

So the alarm clock goes off at 12:10 AM..yes AM and after a refreshing hour of sleep, here I sit at work. It's a interesting time of the day if you're sober or not in trouble with the police. You can ...
