A continually evolving band, The Fields combine dynamic folk, jazz, Celtic and Appalachian musicianship with deep, introspective writing to deliver orchestral melodies and infectious songs. From San Jose, Chris Griffin plays acoustic guitar and sings stories of life, love, joy and despair. St. Louis native and upright bassist, Dan Eubanks, melds fat grooves and ethereal strings with the experimentally Celtic/Hendrixesque filddle of Aberdeen, Scotland's John Davidson. Meandering through foot-stomping traditional, fist pumping anarchal and drifting atmospheric songs, the Nashville-based band The Fields and their uniquely, ecclectic music is a refreshing alternative to the increasingly homogeneous radio programming situation occurring in most of the U.S. today.
