DEBUT ALBUM RELEASED IN FEBRURARY 2008 "THE ELEMENT OF SOUND"
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Sydney Electro-Girl, Monita De Varge was self trained on the Piano from Childhood, She could play by ear, then moved on composing her own Ambient and melodic derived songs.
Monita wrote Piano compositions for ten years before she started to produce Electronic compositions. Then after seven years of experience in composing a vast array of electronic sounds, Monita decided to release her first official "Debut" CD.
She completed her Album
"The Element of Sound" by 2007
Monita developed her own style out of old-school Electronica and blended it with "Cinematic Sci-fi" themes. Listeners would think she is a classicly trained Electronica Artist who produces music to place in the cue sheet of film sets. She has develpoed her style through many influences, with a variation of styles relative to World Beat music, New Age Dance & Techno, Electro, Experimental Electronica, Instrumental Electronica, Cybernetic Electronica, & Ambient Space Scenes.
Monita studied music to learn the technical side of sound production and related knowledge of the music industry. Showing Interest in self inspired electronic sound compositions, Monita worked on various projects, some including music for use in stage performances and special events for Performance Artists.
After working on her own various projects, and releasing a few Ambient and New-Age tracks, she started to write more dynamic up-beat Sci-Fi Themes and developed a taste for her own signature.
"Music Technology became my main interest by experimenting with electronic instruments to create a new up-beat rhythm. It doesn't matter to me about where a sound supposed to come from and what genre that particular sound supposed to be used in, I experiment with any sound until I find something that mixes well with the rest of the arrangement and make it a composition of my own. I also destroy sounds until they are reborn into another completely different sound that was nothing like the sound I started with."
My intention is to compose with a picture of a 'Scene' or visual Journey in mind. The journey is then left in the mind of the beholder of each person listening.
