I specialise in mastering everything from rock to electronic music, and have been busy working with local and international artists that are after a cutting edge sound. I'll ensure your music reaches it's utmost sonic potential and is competitive with other releases. I approach each project from a fresh perspective creating a sound that suits your style of music.
I have been passionate about audio since high school. After working on various film and music projects, I became a lecturer at SAE (School of Audio Engineering) in Sydney for 3 years. My calling came when I was promoted as a Mastering Engineer/Assistant at the now legendary Studios 301 Mastering, originally a descendant of the EMI Abbey Road studios in London. Here I learnt further skills from the best Mastering Engineers in the country, using some the finest equipment ever made, such as the EMI TG console that was used to record the Beatles and Pink Floyd during the 1970s.
After the moving and consequent downsizing of Studios 301, I decided to pursue a career as a Mastering Engineer. I now reside as Sonamax Mastering, you can check out the studio here.
This room is a no compromise purpose built mastering facility, on par with the best mastering studios in the world, located in vibrant Glebe. Equipment includes a large selection of analogue equalistaion and compression, Weiss digital processing, custom designed Crookwood mastering console, ATC and Dynaudio monitoring, and a comfortable lounge for listening pleasure.
