NEWS: We are currently recording two new tracks, they have been played live a few times now so if you have seen us recently you will have heard them... If not, you are in for a treat! The song titles are Degeneration, and You're Only Mortal. This is the next step for Primitai, basically more of the same but better. Heavier riffs, lengthy solos, more vocal onslaughts and the drumming magic of the Chilcott. So if you're down with it in the first place, you are going to be wetting your little metal panties. This is an insight into the next album, and things as of Saturday 10th May are in motion! Your going to enjoy this...

THE BAND
Primitai are a four piece band based in a town in England called Sandhurst, right in-between one of the biggest military bases and high security mental prisons.....although these facts give no influence to the music they produce.
After a long stint in and out of the recording studio they have recently finished the recording of their debut album 'Through the Gates of Hell', which will be released before the year is through.
Through the Gates Of Hell is set to stamp the shit out of the current 'radio friendly' rock trend and bring Primitai to the top of the throne.
Influenced by many of the greatest heavy metal bands ever, Primitai stand for no shit and good times, be prepared, this album delivers some of the most ball-breaking riffs and guitar lead that any mortal dare to create, so minions, welcome to hell.

Musically very good, old skool metal with flying-V style guitars playing in the upright "my guitar is my penis" style. Seriously though, Primitai were good!

Ah, a good old-fashioned metal blast out, now this I like!
It’s like Maiden meeting The Murderdolls and listening to some thrash. Which is a good idea, believe me!
Get Ready To Rock reviewed by Pete Feenstra
Primitai are a band who can seriously play, and on each of the nine tracks here they push both the songs and their own playing abilities to the limit

Primitai are a throwback to the past. But when the present is littered with whiny emo brats, that’s not such a bad thing. For anyone who appreciates good, solid rock music, ‘Through the Gates of Hell,’ is well worth a listen.

If this album was a steak it would be served blue because you can hear the rawness and see the blood dripping from it.
Subba-Culture reviewed by Paul Raven
If you’re fan of metal for the sake of the fretwork and the fun, Primitai will bring a devilish grin to your face.
The Beat Surrender reviewed by The Manager
To sum up, then, it’s an album of fast guitar solo’s, solid drumming, growling vocals and you know where the riffs are coming from. Primitai – Metal, pure and simple!

They manage to rock your fxxking face off. Played with party-hard exuberance.
Kerrang reviewed by Mark Griffiths
It’s fairly clear what metallers Primitai are trying to do. Shredding solos, frenetic percussion, ball breaking riffs, no prisoners taken and metal up your ass.

‘Through the Gates Of Hell’ is one of the most brazenly tongue-in-cheek heavy metal albums released since Judas Priest were in their prime.

“Through The Gates Of Hell' by Primitai is an album that shows what rock is about - how it was meant to be and how it always should be - it's brutal, passionate and genuine, it's nerve-jangling yet melodic, it's monstrous and yes, I love it!!â€

â€Playing heavy metal that touches all the pleasure spots, Primitai are out to entertain you with a debut album that will do that in spades. Primitai play exhilarating air guitar metal with a grin and bags of cocksure attitude.â€

''Primitai do their heavy rock with adrenalin fuelled, explosive potency. This is just heavy, heavy rock'n'roll - solid, unified, ass-kickin, stonkin', good ol' skull crackin' rock to head-bang along to!â€
Sub City
''The guitar tone is loud and bombastic, the drums are hasty and the vocals are throaty and grainy. Heavy metal fans will love this.â€

â€This track intro to the band proves they really are worth checking out. Pretty extreme, the vocals growl heavily. Definitely one to watch out for!â€

Planet Thrash reviewed by Deb
â€The roaring force of lyrical excellence combined with some of the best guitar and drum work to emerge of late gives a hard and heavy result - a superb representation of the metal genre.''

''It works well, though, avoiding cheese by just a fraction in order to rock your f**king face off in the name of metal.''

“I’m not even a big fan of the old school 80’s rock/heavy metal (think Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Kiss etc) or music of this genre but this is a great track from a proper talented band.â€
