This all started several years ago, while on tour with my other band I play drums in. Even though I write and co-write songs for them, I found that I was writing songs that didnt fit that format lyrically and musically as well. Just missing home and the people I loved, bouncing from city to city, meeting thousands of people, i just really got inspired. Not to mention all the stuff that was going on in my life back home. I played the songs for a couple of friends and they said that I should think about demo-ing them. So I did and I got a great response. The songs here are some of them that i demoed I plan to record a full length album soon.These songs were all tracked in Oklahoma City, OK, at the The Hall Studios and. I played everything, and produced it myself, because of time constraints.There has been a lot of interest and questions about the lyrics of these songs. Mainly because they are about as blunt as can be, and are indeed all ripped from the past couple of years of my life. These are my views as to what actually happened and I think is a great way to remember someone Writing about such things is such a bitter-sweet thing. It is indeed cathartic but at the same time I am being completely open about such things with people I dont even know.In the end, the chief purpose of the reason I write songs is to, for a moment in time, be a soundtrack to someones life.
