About Me

I was born on Guam; fitting since the island was considered a penal colony for the Phillipines. I lived in San Diego, Norfolk, Philly, Irvine, and the Bay Area over the years. I was a percussionist back in the day--played at JFK and Veterans Stadium in Philly, marched in parades, and hated every single one of my challenges from my "foe". Performed on an episode of Double Dare and spent some nanoseconds in front of the camera for a parade. For some reason, traded band camp for speech and debate. Learned many aspects of Expository speaking and faked my way through a hellacious LD session. Spent a month in Japan testing my "skills" and learned that Kyoto and Osaka are quite possibly the loveliest and liveliest of places. Landed a photo in a Japanese newspaper. Finally fulfilled a dream of being publised--3 cookbook reviews. Enjoyed 10 days in Amsterdam in November...a culmination of trips with my other half. Now, we're nesting.
