Well I signed up for these two divisions at the Judo tournament on Mar 31st. Masters (30 and over, broken down by weight) and Novice (any age and broken down by weight). Now when I had asked around about which division I should sign up for my coaches all said Master or both Master and Novice. I show up at the tournament thinking that Master just means old people and that it would be broken up like the others white - green and brown - black. Well, I am looking around thinking what a bummer nobody over 30 in my rank range showed up at the tournament. Well they call my group to Mat 1. I head over and there is all black belts and one brown belt. I jokingly said it looks like I don't have anyone in my division. I was promptly told I was in my division, that it was all ranks 30 and over. Needless to say I was not amused. hehe. Right before we started a green belt showed up to make me not the only one under brown level. Well, my first fight I did my favorite throw (Tomoe Nage) on the black belt I was fighting and won. I won my next match as well, then was so exhausted I could barely stand up while I lost the next two and ended up with 3rd place. My third match was for first place, which I would have got if I had won. Also, needless to say the black belt I did the Tomoe Nage on, was really, really mad to get beat like that by a white belt. hehe. I then competed in the novice division which was white to green and I was so tired I ended up with only 2nd place.I love to skydive. Check out my video of one of my beginning skydives. :)
