Band Members:At the moment, it's me, ex- Green Magnet School guitarist and vocalist Chris Pearson, a bunch of guitars, effects (including the AWESOME Gig-FX Chopper ) and synthesizers, and a computer with some real basic software plugged into a really loud tube amplifier.
I'm always looking for people to guest on my live and recorded stuff to shake things up a bit. When I do, I go under the nom de plume EKRANOPLAN. In the past i've had Kris Thompson (Concord Ballet Orchestra Players, The Lothars, ex-Abunai!/Nisi Period) on Theremin, Joe Turner (Joe Turner & the Seven Levels, ex-Abunai!) on drums and percussion, Dave Y ( Flat Nine ) on guitar, Phil Jamieson ( Caspian ) on guitar and loops, and Christo Buffam ( Sanguine Drone ) on guitar.
If you'd like to guest or play on some stuff, live or recorded, and you're interested and like what you hear, drop me a line, send me a message...
also:
For the song 'Slabbath' (original band version):
Special thanks to Dave Y ( Dear Old Stockholm Syndrome , x- Nisi Period ) for the original engineering and production back in 2000 (and also 2nd guitar) , Arthur Johnson (x- Come ) for drums, and James Apt (x- Six Finger Satellite ) for bass.
Influences: Gravity, electromagnetism, the strong force and the weak force.
Sounds Like: I've decided to start a new genre of music: "Organosynthetic Primitivism". That's combining traditional "rock" elements (guitar, effects, etc.) with the simple principle of using a laptop and software plugged through a tube amp as a means to an end for blasting out some noise and getting your rock on.
If "ghettotech" means your laptop/synthesizer stand is an old barbeque table you found on the side of the road, then yeah, i guess that's me...
