Centre of Wood is the small sister label of Cold Current production and is dedicated to drone sounds, eerie and weird folk and all music with lo–fi and inmost core.
The label excludes a priori releases by factories and large editions. Each packaging is handmade / homemade and is created respecting nature and it is in harmony with it.
Centre of Wood is interested and directed to all people that love nature and live respecting animals; emotional music, handmade objects, leaves, stones, polaroid photos, the intimacy of a personal room, analogical instruments, music recorded in a garage or in a room with cheap-unusual-broken-toy- instruments...

[Some weeks ago,I (Andrea / Centre of Wood) was in an Italian forest with the intention of making some field recordings. I brought along with me some instruments: an acoustic guitar, Tibetan bells, a “valhia”, a flute, an accordion and others. When I arrived in the centre of the wood I started recording various sounds; the music slowly arrived to the ears of some shepherds and woodcutters who approached me… I gave each one an instrument asking them to play with me in an unrehearsed jam session. The result (slightly modified with other sound effects in my home-studio) is in this album. Two very long tracks of deep drone and no folk sounds. The CD is inside a bag of jute closed with a little branch, all copies are handmade and numbered on a little stone.-Release strictly limited to 25 copies!]

[4 very long tracks created with strange sounds, primitive percussions, eerie folk, unusual lo-fi jazz (or something like that), ritual voices and a lot of other weird sounds in classic underground finland style! An other great confirmation after the works under “Digitalis”, “Pseudo Arcana” and “Last Visible Dog”. The packaging is a sort of digifile created from a letter-bag, completely handmade. On the cover there is an very eerie nude-photo find on an old erotic Italian magazine of the '70s.]

[Probably the most strange band from Finalnd (or over the world?!). I have received the master of this album without any informations except the one that the music has been recorded on a unknown finland's hill. It's probably that Survon is a project composed of names already known in the N.W.O.F.N.A. (new wave of finland new age) as Vapaa and the Free Players but nothing is sure... It's very difficult for me to describe their music, first of all it's extremely lo-fi, without a real structure (pure shamanic improvvisation). A bizzare folk, sometimes almost evil thanks to strange vocals that seem to come from creatures of caves. Incredibly fashinating... The tape is limited to 30 numbered copies, inside a little plastic-bag. On the cover there is a drawing find on a very old american children book. In the package there is also some pot-herbs.]
