About Me

In 2004 Gavin Rossdale acquired Helmet frontman Page Hamilton to produce his first full length LP after Bush. Gavin recruited Chris Traynor (Helmet, Orange 9mm), Cache Tolman (Rival Schools, Civ, Iceburn) and Charlie Walker (Chamberlain, Spilt Lip) to form Institute. Traynor also helped out on the last Bush tour in place the of departured Nigel Pulsford. Gavin also had contributing artists on the new album such as Page Hamilton (guitar) and wife Gwen Stefani (vocals on "Ambulances"). With this band Gavin intends to bring a much more muscular and heavier rock sound. Welcome to the beginning of Institute. (thanks: bushinstitute.net)
