Fuck the miserable idiots and who seem to come to this Earth to do nothing but bring misery to the lives of those around them. They will die alone and hated which is the greatest curse of all. I live my life for love. Love is everything and without it we are reduced to nothing. There are those who live their lives for the pursuit of money.. To them let me say this,.. you cant take it with you dude.. all that goes with us in the end is the good memories and the love that we foster while we are here. Make your money, but do not become it's slave, willing to pay any price for it's attainment.. it won't warm your body at night or tell you it loves you.
There are those who live their lives fucking everything that moves, never attempting to love "the right" partner in a legendary fashion.. those people will die with nobody to hold their hand in the end and will miss out on life's greatest joys.. for you, the memory of your life will be a collection of cheap experiences and meaningless encounters.

Nothing sucks more than growing old to only realize that you fucking blew your life on shit. For those of you who are too scared to strive for what you want most, I say this,.. regret is pain that cannot be cured.. when you are truly too old to go after your dreams, that is when it will begin to remind you daily that you should have, could have, but didn't. Fuck those who oppose you. If you want it,.. go for it. If the people by your side do not support your dreams, axe them from your life, even if it hurts. True love is your greatest cheerleader.. those who truly love you will support you in what you want because seeing you happy is their priority. If you are in a controlling situation get out of it. Life is given to us to be lived but only once. Don't waste it or live it to please somebody else's life or you will find yourself remembering years from now that you read something once on myspace that was so fucking right and that you should have listened while you had time.

I do not impose my beliefs on anyone. But if there is one thing I can communicate it is that love and the attainment of it in all forms, is all that matters.. In my life I have ran across those people we all encounter.. Those who want to win no matter who they hurt or betray... those who call themselves your friend and turn on you as soon as they get what they came for.. No doubt,.. I will fucking remember each and every one of them for who they truly are. Somewhere waiting for them is a payment in full. Karma is a bitch.

I have watched people all my life, trying to understand why they do what they do and I am amazed by them everyday in positive and negative ways. My advice? guard yourselves against the deceit and evil of wicked self-serving people, but never put up a fully blocking wall that will prevent truly good friends and extended family from entering your lives.. Don't let the assholes fuck it up for you.. not everyone is like those who hurt you once before. Instead,.. build a protective wall around you that will shield you,.. but never forget to put in lots of windows so that the light can still shine through and warm your face with it's love.. people are the best and worst things to be found in life. Choose wisely.

I run from drama and embrace the simple joys of life. I am not here to get rich. Getting rich is simply a bi-product of doing a great job. Do what you do in a superior fashion and the money will come by itself. Those who seem to focus on nothing but fame and money end up failed in the end and wondering why.. they are usually also the very same people that found themselves to be 2 sheik, 2 cool and 2 famous to be bothered with trivial things like talking to, and getting to know their fans. I hate those kind of stuck up assholes. Fuck them.. A true artist is smart enough to know that they are here to serve, (not to be served), and that their strength lies in the public that made them who they are to begin with..

I would like to thank all of you who have allowed my music into your lives and who have believed in me.. I am anxious to see what we will create together, for you are all the substance of all of my creative inspirations. hopefully it won't be too presumptuous to say that you ain' t seen a fucking thing yet!.. My Interests

My name is Michael McKnight. I am a songwriter who became the singer of a band I founded called Soulidium and since, my life has never been quite the same. Being the singer of a national rock band is exciting and also a nonstop drama all at the same time. While life in Soulidium has been nothing short of the equivalent of living in a movie, I am thankful and grateful for a chance to take my talents to the world stage. People often ask me why I do this.. The answer is simple. It is for the love of our fans and for a chance to create the art that pours out of me. The moments that we have shared on stage are the fabric of dreams. Despite having been through an unbelievable journey, (devastating fires that destroyed our bands equipment & everything we had, hunger, homelessness, near destruction, hurricane devastation, the loss of band members, music industry rip offs, financial disaster, falling outs, tears, anger, addiction, violence, depression and the list goes on..), I stand strong and stay focused on my art. The experiences I have gone through have become the fuel that inks my words and ignites the art that flows from my veins.

I am and will always be before anything, a songwriter. The art of creating a song is much like giving birth to a child. You envision it, shape it, pour your love into it and step back to bask in the indescribable intensity that it brings to your inner soul. Creativity and art are the sole purpose of my life. To know that the art that I leave behind may outlive me and be a testament to my existence here on earth is a privilege and blessing that cannot be described. To watch the faces of fans who fall into a rocking trance when we touch them is the greatest payoff in the world for the price that I have paid to be this thing that I am.

The life of a musician is often misunderstood. We are much like the rest of humanity,.. only difference? we hunger for the love of those we serve before all things. Most people live their life happy to be loved by a partner and their families.. this for most of us is the norm. A musician however, hungers to be loved by the entire world and cannot be happy between the confinement of 4 walls. We must press on, seeking our love across the planet as we yearn to touch those we come across with the unique visions of our art..

Despite the difficulties of the journey, I would be lying if I said that I would not do it all again if necessary. Maybe I would do certain things different,.. we all make mistakes along the way.. but one thing is for certain. Art is life and is the very voice of God, reaching out to those who would be inspired by it. I have many hopes for my creative future and plan to incorporate a more active songwriting, production and film career down the road. After shooting the music videos we have done since the creation of our first album "Children Of Chaos", I have fallen in love with film after having directed my first music video for Soulidium, "The Light". Film like music offers a unique ability to reach into the hearts of those who eagerly watch or listen, and gives the artist a chance to take their fans emotions on a ride they will not soon forget. The power to control emotions is a privilege and is among one of the most powerful abilities on Earth. The journey we take our fans on and the joy that it brings them is the big payoff. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to hear that one of our songs meant something great to one of our fans. To hear that they laughed, cried, fought or fucked to my art is beyond description. Music for most all of us is our co-pilot through life. For every era of our lives we all have several songs that went with that time. For every breakup, new love, marriage, divorce, life changing experience, transition, depressed moment or triumph there is a theme song that we always associate with it. How many times have we heard a song of the past come onto the radio and smiled as we think to ourselves and recall those times and memories that it went with? My wish is that in years to come, the music I have been a part of will be an associative memory in the minds of the millions that lived it with us..
