My name is Wayne Gretzky, I was born in Bradford, Ontario on Janurary 26, 1961. I am married to Janet Jones. When I was 6 years old I got granted to play for a 10 year old team, on the 10 year old team I scored 378 goals and had 120 assists in 85 games. I was 17 when I got my first contract to the Indianapolis Racers of the World Hockey Association. Just eight games into the season, I was sold to the rival Edmonton Oilers. In my NHL career I have recieved 9 MVP awards, and I was the only player to score 200 points in a season. On April 16, 1999 I retired after 20 seasons. I was then awarded to be the 5th greatest Athlete in the 20th century.
