Jen:
Children's books, travel, humorous movies, vegetarian cooking for noncooks, Oprah (I can't lie), Michael Sowa artwork, wine tasting and collecting.
Andy:
"Kids are starving in China and you're walking around with a sombrero full of peanuts."
Anyone, everyone.
Jen:
I honestly haven't listened to new music since about 1992. That leaves me with a fondness for lesbian folk rock and yes, Dave Matthews.
Jen:
I usually like anything Andy doesn't. I figure if you've seen or dealt with hard problems in your own life, you probably don't want to deal with them all over again through a movie. Favorites include Amelie, Under the Tuscan Sun, Bridget Jones' Diary, anything Lars Von Trier, Happy Gilmore, Bandits, Pride and Prejudice (the Colin Firth mini), Brazil, Babe, and Fried Green Tomatoes.
Andy:
Dark, depressing, awkward films that somehow never relate to anyone, such as ... Spongebob the Movie, Vanilla Sky, Garden State, I HEART Huckabees, Lost in Translation, Moulin Rouge, anything created by the Criterion Collection, Super Size Me, Donnie Darko, Sin City, Dogville, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lars von Trier, Tarnation, and so many more. I love cinema, but does cinema love me ...
Andy:
Clone High, ALF, Clerks, Fawlty Towers, Stella, Kids in the Hall, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Strangers with Candy, My So-Called Life, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Mr. Bean, Mr. Show, and Twin Peaks.
Jen:
TV is a serious, chemical addiction. I'll watch almost anything and have. Favorites include Dead Like Me, Nanny 911, Buffy, Sex & the City, The Simpson's, Family Guy, Scrubs (when it was good, it was very good), Are You Being Served?, Arrested Development, The Critic, Dr. Katz, The State, Aqua Teen Hunger Force...as TV shows continue, so does the list!
