EXIT

Anthemic Melodic Rock

About Me

EXIT are a hard-hitting Anthemic melodic rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Formed by cousins Chris Logan (who won UK musician Of The Year in 2002) and Shane Watters in 2005.
The band consists of Tristan Harris (lead Vocals), Chris Logan (Lead Guitar, 12- string guitars, backing Vocals), Andy Morgan (Bass guitar, backing Vocals), Shane Watters (Drums, Percussion, backing Vocals).
The band name was chosen for various reasons. The main reason is that we feel our style of music is a departure from the current "sound". Also, various members of the band have left other bands to join EXIT.
At the end of 2005 the band released their self-financed debut five-track EP entitled "Message To the Universe" which achieved mass radio airplay and reviews and acclaim from within the music industry. The band also became one of the first unsigned band to be featured on the main playlist of CoolFM radio after receiving great listener feedback and requests for the track. The bands track was also featured on the compilation album Sounds Of Northern Ireland, which was released by indie label MusicBest Records. This led to the band offered by a film company to make their debut music video and film about the band, which is currently nearing the end of production. Currently the band is gearing up to release their second ‘self-titled’ EP.
Since its formation the band has been gigging constantly in all the major venues in Belfast, Derry, Dublin and the UK. Live shows have consisted of everything from the usual club circuit gigs, radio station showcase gigs and outdoor music festivals. Recently, the band supported several major acts such as "Starsailor", "Journey South", "Aslan" and also completed a fully fledged self-funded tour of the UK which included a headlining date in the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool. After the support slots the band also caught the attention of several management and record companies. Recently, the band has achieved great success in the global search for the worlds best unsigned band run by US record label BodogMusic. After being chossen by industry professionals via internet submission the band went on to compete in several live heats of the competition. The band then appeared and won their heat in Dublin’s Tripod venue and also won their place in the world finals. The world finals took place with EXIT being one of three bands representing Ireland (EXIT were the only band from Northern Ireland). The world finals took place at The Academy in Manchester.
So currently about to release their Second EP the bands main focus for the next year is chasing a record deal that will allow the band to reach as many people as possible with their music and really get into people hearts and minds.

"The four tracks on the EP sound like an offering from an American rock band with years of experience playing stadiums around the world. Surely a record deal and album are just over the horizon."
