Born in Chile, Francisco"Cisco" Araya is the oldest son, third from the oldest, in a family of seven kids. They came to the United States when he was 8 years old. At a young age, he was influenced by the magic of the Beatles after seeing "Hard Day's Night" in the theatre. Blown away by the magic of the "Fab Four", he knew from that day forward he was going to play music. Very early on he studied music theory, and clarinet in school. Then he taught himself how to play the guitar. Needing a bass player to accompany him, he taught his younger brother.Over the years, he's played in different bands, and developed an eclectic style. Cisco continued his music education in college. Now he's encouraging and supporting a new generation of musicians at the same time he's writing, creating, performing and recording his own music.
