Fourth Angel is an Afro-Caribbean reggae group comprised of musicians from the Eastern Caribbean. St. Eustatius and Surinam to be precise. This band brings progressive roots reggae music with a powerful statement and a spiritual message. Since 1995 the members were a part of the reggae collective New Born Creation. During that period they were able to explore their musical talents and spread their message all over Europe. (Holland, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia etc…) As New Born Creation they released two albums: LIVE-"Small club in the heart of babylon" (1998) and "Power Reggae part 1 - Love Not War" (2002). Various tracks were also featured on compilation albums. Due to different circumstances the band chose to leave the New Born Creation collective in 2004 and continue their career as the Fourth Angel.The key words for the new concept of this band are power and versatility. Power has always been a strong characteristic of the band starting from the early years. Along the way the musical selection and presentation got more versatile as the experience of the musicians grew. At this stage the band has increased this versatility by presenting and featuring more vocalists. This has added a different energy that has taken the band to a higher level.Compositions and arrangements find fertile soil with this group. New songs emerge at a rapid pace. The lyrics speak about man's relationship with God and each other, and they address the social injustices that still occur in the world today. The music can be characterized as reggae rhythms flavored with jazz, rock and gospel. It appeals to young and old, and attracts Rastas as well as rockers.Within one year of it's founding the the group has released a brand new album called: "Jah Throne". This in itself is a major achievement. On this album Fourth Angel has joined forces with the mighty Strawl. He presents 5 tracks in his powerful and energetic style. Keyboardist and musical mastermind of Fourth Angel, Errol Brice, takes the lead on 3 tracks. On these tracks one can hear why he's known as "Brice cool as ice". "Soul sister" Urmie Enting contributes one track that counts for three. When you hear it you'll understand why. The debut album portrays the zeal and resolve with which the group has decided to press forward continuing the mission they embarked upon 10 years ago.Recently Fourth Angel has stormed onto the live scene with force.
