Although what the name would indicate, Les Issambres is not a French
band but rather a band based in Stockholm, Sweden. The name is
borrowed from the small village of Les Issambres on the French
Riviera. In Les Issambres the false Mimosa glows and the Mistral keeps
the water of the Mediterranean crispy clear. Les Issambres music is
often characterised as indie or folk. The sunny melodies of Les
Issambres will make you happy and leave you with a small sting in the
heart.
Les Issambres started out in 2001 and have released four albums on the
bands own label, Fifth Week Records. A fifth album entitled Folklore
of mine, will be released in october 2008.
