Starting in March of 1993, Cyanosis has undergone numerous line-up difficulties as a direct result of refusing to compromise or change musical direction. In 1999, after the release of Methods on Genocide Music, half of the quartet decided to leave the band to pursue new and "greener" pastures. Methods never got the real promotion and push it needed to become a major underground success. In 2004, the remaining members of Al Andrews and Phil Proite were approached by a friend who knew a drummer interested in ressurecting the hate driven murder metal machine-enter Eric Fredrich. Eric helped the band create new and more extreme songs, but was unable to maintain a consistent practice schedule ultimately resulting in his dismissal. Eric has since been replaced by none other than Jereme Brach. Jereme also worked with the band in 2003 and has brought a new dedication and work ethnic needed to properly finish the new release. 2007 has seen much interest in rereleasing Methods with a couple of new tracks, as fans from Japan, Spain, Russia and the U.S. have inquired. 2007 is winding down to be a helluva return for the band, as local bands such as BY STRANGULATION have invited us to a "Return Of" show, and with 6 new songs written with such titles as: Reduced To Pulp, Farewell To The Flesh, Slippage, Glutton For Punishment, The P.I.T.(Pleasure In Torture), and Mauled-the band is preparing to rip the heads off, pull out the squirting veins and arteries of the younger bands and fans, and gobble them down like slippery oysters. All who have fond memories of the nineties death metal will be pleasantly suprised that we have NOT become influenced by metal-core or the NEW death & grind bands. All have been warned, hate driven murder metal has returned with the black festering seeds of vengeance! Note of interest to all, all songs on this page are from the 99' recording of Methods which were played by Jim Garcia on drums and Kevin Forsythe on lead/second guitars. The rerelease by Pathologically Explicit Recordings will have all 9 songs from Methods with Jim on drums and Kevin on lead/second guitar, but will feature 3 new songs with Jereme on drums, Al handling all guitars and lead vokills, and Phil on bass and backing vokills.
