Vitamin E

I lie in an early bed, thinking late thoughts.

About Me

I have a tattoo on my ankle that symbolizes Epictetus' quote, "First say to yourself what you will be; and then do what you have to do."
Some people call me quirky. I call myself creative. Curious. Passionate. Weird. Sorta geeky. Compassionate. Totally random. Spontaneous. Brave. Sensitive. Perceptive. Sarcastic. Left-handed.
Sometimes I contradict myself. I never contradict myself. I admit when I believe I'm wrong, but good luck convincing me of that. I never regret; I learn.
I embrace my eccentricity. I seem to challenge people's first impressions of me and negate the "what you see is what you get" adage.
I have precious people in my life and we have supported each other through this wonderful journey we call Life (not the cereal). I love deeply.
My childhood dream was to someday work with dolphins. My ideal life goal is to study a relatively new discipline called "anthrozoology," which is the study of human and nonhuman animal interaction and relationships, as well as "animal assisted therapy."
I have a part-time job hosting karaoke. I love to sing.
I have a part-time love of performing in improv theatre.
One of my favorite things in life is to go out to eat with my friends.
I've developed a new love of Texas Hold 'Em.
I absolutely love the Denver Broncos.
My best friend convinced me to buy a skateboard, and use it.
I have exceptional parallel parking skill.
I have a lot of stuffed animals on my bed and I feel bad for them if I don't cuddle them equally.
I say the word "retarded" a lot.
I love the song "Sexy Back" and I'm not afraid to admit it. You know you do too.
I can psychologically get rid of my hiccups every time.

Please help abused, endangered and abandoned animals. Donate to the Humane Society of the United States
Please help save our precious dolphins!

My Interests

finding the love of a lifetime, hugging dolphins, Denver Broncos, seeing live music performances, improv theatre, singing really loud in my car, karaoke, good movies, performing in theatre and/or learning roles guerilla-style, drinking tea lattes and Boba, cussing like a sailor, psycho-analyzing people and annoying them with it, kissing, soaking in hot tubs, taking quizzes, letting laundry pile up Mt. Everest style, chicken-fried rice from Beni-Hana, Trader Joe's shopping trips, correcting people's spelling and punctuation, smelling lavender, compulsively checking my e-mail, Burt's Bees chapstick, remembering and reciting my weird dreams, sleeping, being a good student, drinking soda out of a can through a straw, hurling sarcasm, trying to convince myself that I will start my exercise routine tomorrow, craving chocolate, the ocean, repeatedly pressing the crosswalk button even though I know it's pointless.

I'd like to meet:

People who are not afraid to pursue their dreams. People that do not willingly forsake others for their dreams. People who are not afraid of happiness. People who don't make fun of my toes. And Kate Moennig . . .

. . . yum. (addendum, April 2007: I met her!!)

"I don't have any bananas on me, man!!"

I had a dream last night that I was trying to avoid being attacked by a gang of biker chimpanzees (yes, biker chimpanzees) on Venice Beach. That is all.
