Obviously I love movies, theatre, music, music theatre and everything to do w/ these things. I also adore the beach. I need to live there someday. I love to horseback. If you know anywhere to go, let me know. I finally went horseback riding! If you ever want to go, call me. I'm going to go every weekend! I like to travel and I have a hard time staying in one place. I live life as an adventure (w/ the exception of food...I'm NOT adventurous in the food arena..just ask anyone who really knows me.) So that I will never look back at my life and wonder, "what if..."
I want to meet REAL people. I want to meet people that are not afraid to just be.....just being is actually more difficult than one would imagine. Being yourself means sometimes being vulnerable...and in our society that equals weakness. Well I'm here to say that it doesn't. It actually takes MORE strength to allow yourself to be vulnerable in the face of the unknown. I also need people who have a sense of humor. I do not take life too seriously...and I don't want the people in my life to either. Life is too damn short. And I would like to enjoy it. Here is someone who didn't take life for granted....miss you Big Mike.
Hmmmmm.....music...I'm very ecclectic when it comes to music. I appreciate all music...yes...even country. My new favorite band is in fact Whiskey Chimp. If you are not familiar with them, get familiar! Awesome bluegrass! I grew up on country and even once thought I would be a country music singer. Watch out Dolly Parton! Of course I'm a theatre geek, so I love music theatre. But my favs are probably Queen, Michael Jackson (yes I said Michael Jackson, but he is amazingly talented -- more talented than wierd...almost), Billy Joel, Tracy Chapman, Journey, James Taylor, Nina Storey, Keane, James Blunt, Jack Johnson, Journey, Magic Numbers, Dolly Parton, Paul Simon, Ani DiFranco, Blues Traveler, Pearl Jam, Andre Bocellii, Ben Folds, EGZ (of course), Johnny Cash, Modest Mouse, One Republic, and Rilo Kiley to name just a few.
My favorite movie of all time is American History X. I love anything Ed Norton is in. He's phenomenal. I also adore Johnny Depp, he is a tremendous actor. Finding Neverland is now one of my favorites, as is Million Dollar Baby, I Heart Huckabees, and Garden State. I likes Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang, as well as Napoleon Dynamite. Hmm....also Being John Malkovich, Monster, Moulin Rouge, Little Miss Sunshine and pretty much anything w/ good actors in it.
I haven't had the time to really get into any shows anymore. I have really been out of the loop..but guess what....I GOT TIVO!!! I know...its not necessarily a GOOD thing to live for TV...but really..its my job! So I've been getting into THIEF, THE UNIT and ER. I have clients on all. Also of course the Sopranos. Really getting into the L Word now as well as What About Brian. Still trying to figure out what it is I really like on TV. I'm trying to get into LOST..I have several clients on that. But so far I just haven't been able to stay glued to the tube. There aren't really any comedies out there that make me happy. I'm going to miss That 70s show and Will and Grace. I really get into shows w/ good writing and great acting.
I forgot how to read. I think my attention span is too short. But otherwise I the only thing I've read lately is scripts. I've actually been trying lately to finish the Mailroom..something I started when I was IN the mailroom, but never really finished. Looking to it for some inspiration....this job can suck the life out of you sometimes.
My hero is obviously Wonder Woman! I mean...who else?
Actually my hero is my big sister. She is such an amazing woman....seriously.
