About Me

The experimental solo musical creative outlet of Wolverhampton based musician
Gareth I. Davies .
I have performed with several bands over the past five or so years, including Postlapsaria (04-07), but ever since the summer of 05 I have concentrated mainly on my own solo work. After producing a number of recordings made entirely from single-take live performances, I went on to acquire Reason 3 software in May 05 that enabled production of a range of MIDI recordings and experiments. After mastering the basics of Reason, and acquiring Sony Acid Pro, I was then able to create multi-track demos for the very first time. Thus began the recording of 'Don't Listen To The Static', the first 'proper' AWTF album, which was completed in November 05. This album was the very first to comprise of multiple tracks, various instruments and an excellent quality of sound.
The last album 'Glowing Burning Slowly Softly' took a whole year to complete and was 'released' in February 07. If you would like the album, drop a message and it will be made available for download. Alternatively, head over to the AWTF Last.fm page and you can listen to the whole last two albums online.
Every record is dedicated to my fiancée and best friend Hayley Louise Kyte .
There is a secondary solo project also now called Dick TASTY which now after exploring the grindcore side of me has turned its head to some simply outrageously amazing pop-punk tunes. Go see.
Hope you appreciate the music.
