Jerk, born and raised in Sacramento CA has been rhyming and making songs for the last 8 years. He started at the age of 11 and has been perfecting his craft ever since. After numerous appearances on KSFM 102.5 at the age of 16 he then started entering talent shows, a few people in Oakland gave him studio time and beats but nothing ever came of it. Then, at the age of 18 and a few battles later Jerk finds himself in Rocafellas Roc The Mic contest on 102.5 which the winners would battle at the Jay-z / 50 Cent concert for $100,000 & a deal with Roc a Fella........
Out of over 1000 demos he made it to the final 2 and won the whole competition on July 25 2003 at the Sleeptrain Amphitheater in Marysville CA.
The battle was right after 50 Cents set and right before Jay-Z’s so the place was full (sold out). Jerk did not get the money or the deal that he was supposed to be handed(they did it to Mac Lethal too!!!) which didn’t slow him down any, it just made him more hungry to make it. Also on May 26th 2005 he was on stage at the same place again during the Snoop and Game How The West Was Won Tour for another battle. But when Jerk & the other 3 emcee’s all got backstage they found out that they weren’t going to battle at all.This time the competition went from an emcee battle to having the rhymers go on stage and just rap for 45 seconds about whatever ..... Jerk placed 2nd, he’s no stranger to the mic or stage in front of thousands and he’s here to stay.
