What is post-electronica rock?

Coded Language began in 2001. The electronica scene had happened and was imploding. The record industry had consolidated and was starving. Rock was dominated by nu-metal. Metal bands had incorporated the sounds of techno. Something more sublime emerged from the fractalized rave scene. New songwriting paradigms. New paths and creative processes, some realized, were the true legacy of the 90s dance music explosion. Those principles could be applied to any intrument, any ensemble...

The Past

Thanks to fans and friends Coded Language gained a reputation as a powerful and unique live music experience and became one of the most influential and immitated indie bands in SoCal.

Coded Language has been prolific with 4 studio releases and 2 live DVD releases - all self-produced: Precursor [2002], Recursor [2003], One Instant [2003], Another Instant [2004], The Coach House DVD [2003], The Slabz DVD [2004]

Coded Language was nominated in Best Live and Best Rock categories for the 2004 Orange County Music Awards.

The Present

Coded Language has been inactive since June 2006, while its members pursue other musical endeavors.
