I am a pretentious drunken bastard, an infidel of some sort, a mediocre poet when I can be bothered to write (although everyone tells me that I write well for some reason,) an amateur chef with an inordinate fondness for limes, cilantro, and hot peppers, a pipe smoker when the weather permits it, a voracious reader who nonetheless probably hasn't read your favorite book, a connoisseur of fine Chinese and Japanese tea, the curator of Schnecksville's largest collection of reggae and ska CDs, an occasional homebrewer, a musician who has played everything from Mississippi Delta blues to Balinese gamelan gong kebyar (and many things in between,) a keeper of tropical fish, a pissed-off liberal (who thinks gun control is stupid and never liked the Clintons,) a Yankee and damn proud of it, and an all-around nice guy.
