I am here for Friends

About Me

Hi, I'm Judy. I think everyone who I give this address to will know me. But just in case, I'm Judy. I have been told by many of my friends over the last two years to start a myspace page. So tonight, my daughters did it for me (or at least they got me started). They think I am so out of touch on this sort of stuff. They make me feel the way I used to make my parents feel when they didn't know how to program the VCR. We have come a long way haven't we? Those of you who really know me will also know that I am not 94 years old and you probably will know my real age. But for those of you that don't, you can keep guessing...forever. There are two things a woman never tells; her age and her weight. And not even the police can get the latter from me. LOL!
I have 2 daughters, Erica 14 and Chelsey 12. Both of them think they are going on 21. This should come as no surprise. But, they are great girls. I do not know what I would do without them. Both of the girls are in competitive cheerleading for the PBL Allstars. This past May (2007), they both won 1st place in each of their divisions in the invitational only World Championship in Baltimore, Maryland. Wow! It was exciting to say the least. The crowd erupted as they annouced our teams names. They will never forget that moment and I will never forget their faces as they were awarded trophies taller than them. Chelsey had a tumbling solo on her team. And, Erica was in Chorus last year. For her last performance, she did a beautiful solo. Both girls were also on the honor roll. I am so proud of them both.
As for me, I am making straight A's in school. I hope to graduate Summa Cum Laude with one major and two minors. In 2004, I was the Math Student of the Year at the college I attended. And in April 2007, I won the Outstanding Academic Student of the Year award in Architecture, Public & Urban Affairs at the University I now attend. I won't tell you the university I attend because I do not want anyone to know where I am, except the ones that already know. That means you--Kristina. Which brings me to my very best friend in the whole wide world, Kristina. She and I have known each other since we were born and have never parted. And when my husband, Chris (the love of my life) passed away on February 2, 2005, Kristina was there for me every step of the way. I would not be here today if it were not for her. She saved my life. She would talk to me on the phone for hours while I walked for miles usually until about 3 AM every morning until I would either cry myself to sleep or fall over from exhaustion. I couldn't have asked for a better or truer friend. Thank you for being there again and again and when I never thought I would breath again without him. Thanks for not giving up on me, when I had given up on myself. Thank you. You are the most beautiful person I know inside and out.
And as for my beloved Chris, his memories still haunt me and I am like a ghost. While the world is moving, I am just standing still. His pictures still hang on the walls and sit on the shelves. His clothes still hang in his closet. I have had a hard time parting with anything of his. It wasn't until recently that I had the courage to take his voice off our answering machine. I still listen to the music he wrote, produced, and sang. And I visit his grave in Georgia every chance I get. He was wonderful to my girls and me. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, and friend. He was my best friend too. Nobody ever encouraged me or believed in me more than him (and Kristina). I could never thank him enough for being strong and just being there (all the time). He was the one that got me to go back to school. He saw so much in me that I had failed to see in myself. I am glad he lived to see me get one degree. He was so proud of me that day as I walked down the aisle at my graduation ceremony. My family and friends were all there to see me. And, Chris video taped the whole thng. He passed away a few weeks later. I will never forget that moment. He was extremely intelligent, handsome, funny, passionate, romantic, loving, caring, and charismatic. I just hope one day that I make him as proud of me as I was and am of him. That is a tall order and I am still working on that. I miss him more than anyone will ever know. I wish all of you had had an opportunity to meet him. Chris, Jeg Elsker Deg Velde Muir.--
