Music:
I dunno what I would do without music... probably drop dead... on the dance floor though. I basically like all kinds of music. Some might label music and stick to one genre, I like all sorts of stuff. Besides, music rocks my world on so many different levels, one style alone is not enough to do that... u dig....
I do like music that pushes boundaries, the kind that pushes buttons... that nastydirtysexymusic!
The kind that pulsates, twists, fibrillates, stomps, elevates, oscillates, swings, fluctuates... give it to me funky, loud, jazzy, hard, chill, soft.... I don't care.... "I'm having sex with music, mate and believe me I can go all night"
For me it all started with some Beatles and a big Led Zeppelin that went through the Doors and eventually got colored by some Pink Floyd.... ya something like that. That pile of vinyl in my parents basement is the best history class I've ever had.... from Jorge Ben to B.B. King, it was all there!
Early and short brush with alternative.... Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumkins, the Montreal indie music scene, etc etc
But when I heard and saw Nine Inch Nails at woodstock 94 on my mtv, that electronic sound seemed endless in possibilities.
Then, detroit techno came all the way up to Montreal to scoop me up in the raves. By the time I was living in London in '98 Digweed, Sacha, Oakie, Judge Jules, Carl Cox and Paul Van Dyk had me in a headlock... I was SOLD!! Sure I listen to hiphop, rock and pop but electronic music is what keeps my feet and my soul happy... always.....
I'm bored so i made a list!
