The wait for the Mixed Emotions mixed tape album is over.
The album officially dropped on Tuesday, Nov 7th, just one day shy of the
original deadline of Nov 6th. The album is straight out tha trunk. To order a
copy of the album by mail contact Lil Daze directly at [email protected] and
you will be contacted back with info. Please be patient while a pay pal account
is being worked on so that the album can be purchased directly off of the Lil
Daze myspace profile. That feature will be available in the near future.
The album is a full length album with 16 tracks that play
for just shy of an hours worth of entertainment. The album fits the album title,
"Mixed Emotions", quite nicely. The album includes a range of songs that speak
about different topics from ballin'; to personal beliefs in God; and everything
in between. Not to mention some of the most "in your face" punch lines found on
tracks like "Fuck Whatcha Heard" and "Challenge".
The album starts out in your face with "Challenge", a
track that puts the underground rap scene to the test, and ends up with "Mixed
Emotions" a spoken poem of sort that in a very relaxed but powerful way, Lil
Daze expresses his own personal thoughts about the struggles of his own life and
his attempt to move up from the gutter to bread and butter. And from track 1 to
the final track, the overall layout of the album is set to make your mood change
as the album progresses. The thought put into just the layout of the songs on
the album is very evident when you listen to the album from start to finish. The
songs seem to go from one song to the next seamlessly and you almost don't
realize that the mood you where first in at the start of the album has
completely changed only halfway through. And to end the album with such a
powerful piece of gutter poetry is exactly what needs to happen to reintroduce
track 1 when you have the CD set to replay. The album could play on repeat for
hours and take you through the "Emotional" rollercoaster for hours and you'd
probably forget which track was the first one by the way the last track
perfectly reintroduces track 1.
I'm looking for a good DJ who can do a bad ass Chop & Screw. If you or anyone you know is interested holla @cha boi.
