JUST 4 FUN RECORDS is a Swedish indiependent recordlabel !!The label started as PUNISH TAPES back in 1985 ! We released mainly compilation cassettes with lots of cool bands from the entire world ! Titles like " BEACH PARTY Comp. w/ LUDICHRIST, WRETCHED, INSULTS, CRINGER, HERRAIDS, NO IDEA and more ! "FINSPÅNG CONTAINER PARTY" Comp. w/ WOUNDED KNEE, NO IDEA, REA RESPERATOR and SEVEN MINUTES OF NASUA ! "BUN PARTY" Comp w/ RÖVSVETT, MOTTEK and WHITE FLAG ! It was a live recording from the legendary ULTRA HUSET in Handen , Sweden ! Totally 10-15 cassettes was released !In 1987 the label changed the name to PUNISH RECORDS ! Our first records was out , WHITE FLAG- Bleedin in SWEDEN 1986 6-song 7" EP. Live recording from Euro tour 1986 (Gävle show). Now 21 years after will a CD be released with songs from both ULTRA HUSET and GÄVLE gigs…… 74 minutes of live music in a very LIMITED EDITION !In 1991 the label changed the name to JUST 4 FUN ! A more DYS style name…and yes we still losing money but love music……In 2000-2001 the label decided it was time for a siesta… We did not release any records but sold stuff thru mail if someone ask for them ! But in Jan. 2007 we decided it was time to get this shit back on the road ! PLAGUE-Thumper CD, STARK RAVING MAD CD ( both records have been waiting for a release date a very long time) and a reissue of "BIGGER THAN GOD" - a tribute to POISON IDEA CD was released !!Future plans are som reissues of some real CLASSIC Swedish PUNK/HARDCORE bands together with some Reissues of some hard to find American and Canadian hardcore ! Influences: Review from PLASTIC BOMB MAGAZINE . ------------------------------------------- The PLAGUE "Thumper!" CD (Just 4 Fun Records, www.j4f.dk) Dies hier ist die Diskographie-CD von THE PLAGUE aus den 80er Jahren ist. Angefangen hatte diese Band 1982 unter den Namen DEFNICS und dann seit Mitte der 80er Jahre unter den Namen THE PLAGUE. Neben den DEAD BOYS und PERE UBU waren THE PLAGUE zudem die einzige Band aus Cleveland, Ohio, die jemals auf Tour nach Europa gekommen ist. Die 1987 erschienene "Just say no" 7" ist auch nach heutigem Standard eine sehr geile Single, die damals sehr gut vom Maximum Rock..n..Roll besprochen wurde. Zur Europa Tour Ende der 80er Jahre kam dann die "Unresting place" 7" raus, die ebenfalls den guten alten Hardcore Stil beinhaltete, während alle anderen Bands in den USA und Europa eher auf dem Metal-Trip waren. Aber nicht THE PLAGUE!!! Sie hämmerten ihren Hardcore Sound einfach weiterhin raus. Schade, das diese Band nicht die Anerkennung erhalten hat, die sie eigentlich verdient hätte. Wäre sie aus Kalifornien oder Boston gewesen, würde THE PLAGUE heute wohl als eine DER Klassiker Ami-HC Bands zählen. Hier auf dieser CD von JUST 4 FUN Records aus Schweden gibt es insgesamt 3 Singles, eine LP und 6 unveröffentlichte Songs (die 1991 eine EP hätte werden sollen) zu hören. Insgesamt 34 Songs auf über 70 Minuten. Große Klasse! Es ist echt saucool endlich diese tollen alten Songs auf einer CD zu hören. Thumbs up! CD (Just 4 Fun Records, www.j4f.dk) This is the Diskographie-CD from THE PLAGUE from the 80s. Starting had this band 1982 under the name DEFNICS and then since the mid-'80s under the name THE PLAGUE. Besides the DEAD BOYS PERE and UBU THE PLAGUE also were the only band from Cleveland, Ohio, to the ever trip to Europe has come. The 1987 published "Just say no" 7 "is the current standard is a very hot single, which was very good, Maximum Rock'n'Roll was discussed. Order to tour Europe at the end of the'80s came the" Unresting place "7" out, which are also the good old Hardcore style included, while all the other bands in the United States and Europe more on the metal strip. But not THE PLAGUE! They hämmerten their hardcore sound just continue out. Schade, the band not received the recognition that they deserved. Had they been California or Boston, THE PLAGUE today would probably be considered one of THE classic Ami-HC bands count. Here on this CD JUST 4 FUN Records from Sweden, there are a total of 3 singles, LP and 6 unreleased songs (the 1991 an EP would be) to hear. A total of 34 songs over 70 minutes. Large class!
