Why We Fight ,
An Inconvenient Truth , Fahrenheit 9/11 , Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on journalism , Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room , and I like Zombie movies, Pirate movies, Dark Comedies, and well, a bazillion others.
Hmm... Had many years of breaks from TV... how's this... FOX, and anything owned by Rupert Murdoch, I hate... I like some geeky things like Doctor Who, Red Dwarf, and the Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and I watch plenty of other random shit since we got a DVR, too, now... Like Iron Chef, Good Eats, Inked, Miami Ink, Inuyasha, South Park, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and some other shit... Best to avoid TV in general, but if you do watch it, nice to be able to pick and choose...
Authors? David Gerrold, George R R Martin... wait the question was books... The War Against the Chtorr series (okay, I better read The Martian Child before the movie comes out), Song of Ice and Fire series, Cryptonomicon, the Baroque Cycle, Stanislaw Lem in general, Memoirs found in a Bathtub, Mikhail Bulgakov - The Master and Margarita,
more recently Crashing the Gate Netroots, Grassroots, and the Rise of People Powered Politics.

Myself, especially if you decide you don't like me for a stupid reason or no reason. :-DOverly egocentric, but it's a necessary evil to keep myself on an even keel after some encounters... Sometimes I can make a bad impression or do something stupid, and I feel really really guilty... Other times I have to let myself feel self-righteous... Or you just try to surround yourself in a safe world of like-minded people, and well, that's a rare luxury these days it seems...
