It's all in the mind, y'know.

About Me

Hi, I'm Samantha
I ♥ VINTAGE FASHION! I like creating my own style...anything from the late 1910's (yes, you read that correctly: 1910's), 1920's, early 1930's, and mid-1960's inspires me.
My fashion icons: Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Hepburn
♥Silent films take up most of the space in my heart ♥. The best years of Hollywood, in my opinion.
♥My favorite place in the world is Hollywood. And no, not for its materialism, but actually for its landscape. Seriously. The hills are quite majestic.
♥I'm a college student, and I also have a job. Aside from that, I like writing historical fiction, graphic designing, painting, drawing, and collecting antiques. I also enjoy getting lost in bookstores, listening to music, intellectual conversations, and being random.
Counting the days until this movie comes out...Batman is awesome!
“She covered her face with powder and paint because she didn’t need it, and she refused to be bored chiefly because she wasn’t boring. She was conscious that the things she did were the things she had always wanted to do.” — Zelda Fitzgerald.

My Interests

I ♥ HISTORY!
I'm drawn to history. I don't know why - I just am. It's fascinating to learn about the events that happened in a bygone era. I like many different aspects of history, but in general, my favorite subjects are...
The American Civil War...

The Old West...

The 1920's, Flappers, Prohibition

World War I...

The Great Depression

Wall Street Crash of 1929

...and the Women's Suffrage Movement.

I'd like to meet:

Buster Keaton
...is the man of my dreams

MySpace Codes

Buster Keaton was...quite possibly, the most gorgeous man that ever lived.
I also wouldn't mind meeting the Marx Brothers...because they were pretty darn hot if you ask me...

James Cagney, the hottest gangster of the silver screen...

Um...no caption is needed here. ;)
~~
Men I love from the silent era:

Steve Carrell = HOT!

Conan O'Brien! I love funny guys.

Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee, like seriously. The two great leaders of the Civil War, now they'd be great to have a conversation with.

Calvin Coolidge, Franklin D. Roosevelt...and pretty much all of the past U.S. presidents.

Clara Bow, Gloria Swanson & Louise Brooks, my 3 favorite actresses...

And last but certainly not least, I wish I could have met my favorite actress EVER, Marion Davies. She was the funniest and most fascinating gal ever!
