I am retired and do volunteer work for Hospice. I go on Mission Trips with my church and have been to Slidell, La. twice for rebuilding homes in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. I returned on 9/23/2007 (Has it almost been a year ?!) from working and playing in Santiago, Chile with our missionary there who runs a home and workshop for disabled people. I went with a team of 12 people.We were there for 9 days. See my Blog about the trip and I have an album with some of the many photos. I am married for the 2nd time to a wonderful man and we will celebrate our 4 year anniversary in August 2008. I have 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy...ages 34,30 and 28.I have 2 stepsons...ages 23 and 18, who are both in Arkansas. I also have one grand daughter who is 12 who lives here with her mother, April. She is my son's child and we are extremely close. My daughters live in South Carolina. My oldest daughter and her husband run a business together and just had their first baby, a precious boy, Raymond Harker Rodriguez, born Feb. 19th, 2008.I was very blessed to have been there for the birth. My son is married and lives in New Mexico. My youngest daughter teaches 10th, 11th and 12th grade English/Literature and was married October 4th,2008 to Bryan Lehman.She is also busy working on her Masters degree. I have one sister who is 10 years younger than me who lives in North Carolina with her husband and 2 sons.I was born and spent most of my life until adulthood in North Carolina.Our parents are no longer living, but remain in our hearts forever. We have one dog and one fish and they are both very spoiled....yes I can even spoil a fish!!!! I like to think of myself as open minded and a sponge for information. All in all I am happy and content with my life. I would like to be able to see my family more as family is extremely important to me, as well as good friends.
