Apart from being a Brighton gal through and through....I was born in Lewisham District hospital, lived the first two years of my life in Catford 'Saaaaaf' London, my parents decided for some reason to move right down to Hangleton in Hove, and there I grew up very happily with an older sis and older bro... you could say it was a reasonably 'normal' childhood... (whatever normal is) that was until we got the internet when I was 12 and I found a load of fellow Madness fans - finally people who understood - from then on my life changed forever, every single months pocket money I got (I think I ended up having about a years worth in advance) went on travelling up to London to meet up with all these new friends 9.5 times out of 10 we ended up at the Dublin Castle in Camden Town, mecca!
It was a life of trying desperately to resist the next gig to study for my exams - gigs always winning in the end - even though I rarely had anywhere to spend the night. The gigs were mostly Crunch! I remember when they were almost weekly... sigh... those really were the days!! My life totally changed because of these maddies and the band and to them I will be eternally grateful. I've not missed a single UK Dangermen gig yet and have unbelievable memories from every single one...
I moved up to London when I was 16 and haven't looked back, although the gigs have slowed down, and the meetings have almost ceased; when we do all meet up it's great - just like the good old days - the Dangermen gigs took me back to the excitement I used to get when sitting on the train to London when I was 15... bring on more Crunch!, Madness and Dangermen outings!!
Oh yeah I also went to school at Hove Park School... got AS Levels at Croydon College got my first job at 16 working for 101cd.com; worked my way up from the packing department to being audio buyer and web content editor... have now moved to Sanderstead in Surrey... but they're the boring bits!Made redundant from 101cd.com last November - Jersey called them and they went running... and have got a neeeew job at Paperchase's head offices on Tottenham Court Road as their Web Content Editor. Taken a Photoshop course and now work with images all day long, heaven! This is footage taken by myself on my mobile phone at the Vic Reeves Big Night Out Live event on the 9th September 2005 at the old Raymond's Review Bar Soho.. sadly it's Very Poor quality but it's sommat... enjoyMyspace Contact TablesMyspace Backgrounds
