What Does Your Name Mean?
Well let me see....I was born 26 years ago in a town just outside of Birmingham. 2 and a half years later my parents decided to lumber me with a manic younger sister who is a bit taller and thinner than me these days but she's still younger than me. Oh and still insane.
Went to Arden School in Knowle between 1991-96, managed to get 8 GSCEs and started at Solihull 6th Form in 1996, doing an Advanced GNVQ Science type thingy. Which was great fun - and saw me at various points during the course: covered in a sort of oily type substance that bleached my jeans and made me smell like crude oil; have my nostril hairs burnt away by Dave's bright idea of making me sniff ammonia (!); set fire to various things (accidentally); make things such as aspirin and soap and engage in general horseplay. There was also the great trips to the pub/McDonalds/Dave's house courtesy of Si Butlers car. Plus all the Friday nights spent in either the Mason's or Rosies in Solihull.
Started at UCE in Birmingham at the end of September 1998, on the long path of becoming a Diagnostic Radiographer courtesy of a BSc Degree. Had a fantastic time at Uni - again another excuse for a piss up most of the time - I lost count of the times that Amy and I found ourselves at Bar 99 on a Thursday night at Rosie's Pumphouse, then go upstairs to the nightclub to continue the fun!! And on a Friday morning it would be amusing to see how long it would take for Amy to stop feeling sick and start eating!! How I love not suffering with hangovers. LOL
Graduated from Uni on 19th July 2001 and moved down to High Barnet on 28th August 2001 with my best friend, who had been living in Finchley. I started my first postgraduate job at the Whittington Hospital on 17th September 2001 and I am still there now. I dont just do "normal" xrays anymore - have branched out into CT, MRI and PACS (which is basically how X-ray images are stored and sent round to different places in the hospital). When the PACS manager is away I then step into the role of acting manager, makes me sound a bit posher than PACS geek!
I love spending my hard earned cash by going to gigs, meeting up with friends for drinks/meal, travelling and various other things.
