Hi. Well here I go....My daughter talked me into this and I am glad she did .I've seen her have so much fun on here so I had to joined in . Maybe I am older than most here but I have always been "Mom" to everyone of my children's friends . I just adore the views , thoughts and enjoyment of life that they all show these days . Life is a ball , have fun . Good friends are hard to come by so stick with them when you have them .
Well , there is way to much to tell so I will give you a break down . I am a Mom of 3 wonderful children(16,15 and 4)
My husband (and father of my two older children) was killed at work at the age of 28 (the kids were 1 and 2)He was the greatest person I had ever met , my one true love . He was such a wonderful father and treated me and the kids not only with respect and admiration , but as if we were his most cherished treasures We miss him everyday still , after 14 years . Life has never been the same without him .
I made the mistake of geting remarried 8 years ago(found hubby to be bipolar/manic depressive and refusing the required meds) He left our home 3 years ago and that really was for the best . The greatest thing that came out of that was my little miracle baby . He was born 3 months early at 1 pound 3 ounces and 11 inches long . He spent his first 11 1/2 months of his life in the hospital . He was born on our Christmas vacation to Florida (we live in Michigan) so we had to live there 8 months while he was in the NICU . My older kids had to attend Florida schools . Finally when the baby was medically stable , we were transported to U of M Mott's Children's by medical lear jet . He had a 3 1/2 month stay there but was finally ready to come home just before his first Christmas and birthday (New Years Eve) Today he is doing great and catching up . He still has a trach and gtube for feeds but will lose that after all the issues are cleared up . I was and am so proud of my two older children (17 and 16 now) because they were so great during this time . When the baby was born , they were 11 and 12 . They never once complained and was always there . They had to attend school even on the days the baby was not doing well , many times dying .
They were by his side with love , hope , prayer and comfort for him . Today he is a little wild 5 year old(35 pounds and 37 inches tall) with still many medical needs that always has to come first and that is fine with the us .
So we have learned never to give up , stay strong , pray and always have hope and belief . The baby showed us strength that we did not know existed .
As for me , I just love being a Mom and being there for the kids .We love doing just about everything together and have so many of the same interests . They are my best friends . They each have all of the most wonderful friends , most are here on myspace ....Hi Guys !!!!!
Anyway , I just thought I would give it a try . I may not stay here long as I worry not only on cramping my kids style and invading their privacy , but to trend on their fun . That is why I will just hang out in the shadows for just a little while .
Hope all of you had a great summer . I don't know if I am odd but I hate to see school starting again . I love my kids being home and around without the stress and worry of school (not to mention some of the moranic teachers) Don't get me wrong , there are some great ones that really go out of their way and care(Thanks to those ones). But then you have the ones just there to get the paycheck and make kids lives a living heck . (My taxes are paying them to make my kids misrable ...heck I can do that at home for free)
So take good care . I guess I should close with what most Mom's say "Wear clean undies in case of an accident(Lord knows they won't save your life if not) .....eat your veggies(because there are starving children in China) .....don't talk to strangers (well , no one stranger than youself , but be careful) ....don't take candy from strangers (take candy from babies because they can't chase or identify you) and always call your Mom , no matter where you are or what you are doing ...we worry about ya . Ta for now ! ..
