GOAL: To pressure radio stations globally to play an increased variety of music in rotation on the radio. This must be expressed in two ways: 1. Radio stations must play a balance of subject matter in rotation. Music with an uplifting, educational message must have the same access to the airwaves as music about materialism, sex and what dominates the play lists today. 2. Artists that are based in a particular city must be in rotation along with "national" acts.

BRING BACK THE BALANCE CAMPAIGN: Spear headed by Africa Bambaataa and the Universal Zulu Nation. The bring back the balance campaign is a drive to bring balance to the mundane programing dominating our radio air waves. It’s a movement that seeks to address the disrespectful and harmful messages that bombard our communities. By demanding responsibility and accountability from radio stations and media outlets around the country for the content of their programing. The aim is not to remove or suppress what is currently being played, but to add to it. We say if your going to play songs that glorify jail, the selling of drugs, and promiscuity; Then you have to play song that express self respect, moral uprightness, and communal unity. So as to bring some type of balance to the air waves that so effectively influence our children and our lives.STRATEGY: To demonstrate a wide range of support for the balance campaign. This should be expressed with 3 types of support: 1. People Power 2. Star Power 3. Political Power
