Born on February 9, 1988, Nu-Way (A.K.A Charles E. Jones Jr.), is an artist from the Bronx, the illustrious home of hip-hop. Raised in the Housing Projects in New York City, Nu-Way is truly a child of the ghetto. Influenced by the musical styling of artists such as Eminem, Talib Kweli, Louis Logic, Missy Eliot, and the Black Eyed Peas, Nu-Way is a unique mixture of alternative, mainstream, and classic hip-hop. Avidly scribbling since 2000, the young artist lives his life through his pen and trusted microphone, bringing his vividly distinctive perspective to the ears of masses. It's this love for creative lyricism and verbal expression that has transformed what was once a simple pastime into a lifelong passion.Since then the young artist has been keeping busy. In the Fall of 2007 Nu Way copyrighted and published a collection of lyrics entitled "The Portrait of an Artist as Young Man: Volume I." Encompassing 23 songs the collection, "The Portrait" became the written precursor to his first promotional CD, "Soup Kitchen Delight." A clever and colorful composition, the "Soup Kitchen" features the instrumental styling of the distinguished producer and emcee Metal Fingers Doom.Currently, Nu-Way, a rapper/college student at DePauw University, is working on his next promo CD "Brand Nu," a lyrical manifesto chronicling the rebirth of "Nu-Way," both the brand and the man. Stay tuned for its debut Summer 2008...
