About Me

~ I Hope You’re Laughing ~

Wherever you are, my love,
I hope you’re laughing –
Loudly and with tears
Of only humor in your eyes.
Let me be the one for tears.
Let me be the one who cries.
Wherever you are, my love,
I hope that you find joy,
So rarely did it come to you
Pure and without treason.
Leave me with the black and blue
Of the taxing, sluggish seasons.
Wherever you are, my love,
Worry not for me –
Just smile and glitter
More vibrantly each day.
Let my heart be bitter
So long as yours is gay.
Wherever you are, my love,
I hope you’re laughing –
Giggling too often
Through the winter and the fall.
If it be so, my misery softens
And our time not wasted after all.
Wherever you are, my love,
I hope there’s a smile on your face –
In pleasant days inviolate
May delight hold you forever.
For that, I may smile yet,
And we could laugh together.

My Interests

POETRY. Music, writing, vintage clothes, antique anything, the occult and paranormal, Lord Byron's sex life, strange foreign movies I get off the $1.99 table at work...Other than that, I suppose you'd have to find out for yourself.

I'd like to meet:

John Keats. I mean, it wouldn't be THAT hard. Just a short time machine trip. My little cutesome Keats! I'd give anything, really. And as often as I watch Somewhere in Time, I just can't make it happen....Le sigh! And I want to have lunch with George Sand, a threesome with Chopin and Liszt, to get drunk with Oscar Wilde, spend time watching Lord Byron do whatever the hell he does, sit with Shelley as he wrote the ode to the skylark....There's a Turbonegro song called "All My Friends Are Dead" and I'm beginning to think it fits....

Music:

The Who, Placebo, HIM, The Beatles, James Marsters, Ghost of the Robot, The Cure, Talking Heads, Blondie, The Pretenders, The Doors, Drew Sarich, Robert Johnsons, Evangelista, URN, Green Day, Bree Sharpe, Liz Phair, Panic! at the Disco, The Smiths, Say Anything, Alanis Morisette, Pink, No Doubt, Everything But the Girl, Scissor Sisters, The Academy Is..., Janis Joplin, Cobra Starship, The Killers, Led Zeppelin, the Buffy musical episode, DEVO, The B-52's, The Old 97's, Rhett Miller, Cheap Trick, and countless others.

Movies:

BRIGHT STAR (even though it's not out yet...), Impromptu, Gothic, A Hard Day's Night, Help!, The Kids Are Alright, Magical Mystery Tour, Let It Be, Yellow Submarine, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Almost Famous, HAIR, Jesus Christ Superstar, Backbeat, Two of Us, The Hours and Times, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Wilde, Velvet Goldmine, Haggard, Wonder Boys, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Across the Universe, Festival Express, Hidalgo (dedicated to Paula), TOMMY, This Is Spinal Tap, Lisztomania, Kalifornia, The Who Amazing Journey....countless others.
