About Me

Hmm, I always hate these "about me" sections, because really, you should meet someone and through several interactions with them, you miiiight be able to crack the surface of their personality. People are very complex. But, what the heck. I consider myself to be, and most people who are close to me tell me, that I am a very laid back, and down to earth person. I can be happy doing a number of things, and usually find myself doing tons. I love my friends, and will do anything for them. This is an understatement, according to my mother, who would say I don't do enough for myself, but I find that friends are part of what makes up a person, and so one must cultivate them and care for them.More about me...I can't stand raw tomatoes, love nutella and putting it on a toasted baguette is the best (there are a couple place sin NYC which serve it and I am finding them all)!

My Interests

Film, screenwriting, acting, Equestrian Team (dressage), good old books with which I can curl up in bed, listening to jazz and learning about good classical music from my best friends

I'd like to meet:

I'm on here basically to keep up with old and new friends. There are lots of people I want to meet -- Eddie Izzard (though I already DID meet him), so maybe anyone who also loves Eddie would be a good bet. Honestly, I'm up for meeting tons of new people. Ideally people who live in NYC, but if you're in LA that's good too. I'll be moving there in a few years, so I'm working hard to keep up my friends there as well.

Music:

I like lots of different music, so just play something for me and I'll tell you if I like it or not. On a more general note, I love jazz and classic rock.

Movies:

Ok, you may have gathered by now that I'm a film major (aka film is my life), soooo it's really hard for me to pinpoint my favorites. Trust me, it's a hard question for us to answer. That being said, I'd like to name a few that top my lists. Of the Classics: The Philadelphia Story (piqued my desire to be in the film industry at one point or another), British Hitchcock films and many of his American ones as well, CARY GRANT films, I love him, he is the ULTIMATE movie star, many more but i can't think of them now After the Studio System: Indiana Jones trilogy, Star Wars (for what it meant at the time), tons more More recently: Anything by Christopher Guest, the man and his friends are geniuses, Spellbound, the doc, Coen brothers films (hudsucker proxy, the man who wasn't there, barton fink, tons others), so many more....to be added later

Television:

Hmm, Arrested Development (yay for the DVDs), House, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Ugly Betty, Studio 60, West Wing (why did it have to end?!?), SCRUBS!, these are a few of my favorite...shows! There are more, but they are more guilty pleasures than anything.
