Abdul Spadez (The Press Conference Drops 10/7/08!)

1999 is when it started . . . the eight year journey of a 20 year fan of hip-hop to become one of the elite. He started the path to become one of the most lyrical and dynamic MC's in the industry, and in 2007, while still an independent artist himself, Mr. Spadez has created an album which showcases his struggle, his journey, and his perseverance. On July 7th, Abdul Spadez presents . . . The Press Conference
"I always felt like parts of my life were an open book, open platform, where if anyone wanted to know anything about me or my life, it could be easily accessible, and while some artists say they showcase themselves and their lives through music, but most fall short of that. That's why with this album, I wanted to let people in and find out about me. Beyond music and before I end up on TV with all the fame. I want people to realize where I started and, God willing, where I'll become with my music."
Press Conference, the second album by Abdul Spadez, is what he considers to be a, "tell-all," album, which is something he thinks is what all artists thrive to make, but sometimes fall short.
"With this album, people are going to be able to get to spectrums, the fun Abdul Spadez, the deep Abdul Spadez, and the real Abdul Spadez. No matter what your favorite artist is on the radio, and no matter what style of music, they all have these three sides to them. The problem is sometimes they only get to show you one of those portions, but me, especially as an independent, I think it's important that I get to let people see all those sides all at once."
Along with that, he also explains the concept behind the title of his new album, which is set to be released July 7th.
"Press Conference is a theme of letting people find out about me before I blow up. How I got started rapping, my take on certain issues, just a one-shot answer as many questions and issues that I've been getting asked a lot in my eight years rapping. I put a lot of energy into making this album as complete and universal in sound as I can, and the songs on it are going to show that. As an artist, I've grown immensely the past three years, which is why I want this album to be as 'perfect' as possible."
Press Conference will be released on July 7th via Street Rich Records and his label, Redyard Records. It is slated to feature guest appearances from Nova, Kipp-E and Klyental, and Boes, along with production from Truescribe Productions, Kipp-E, Anno Domino, T.Wil, The Beat Catererz, Nova, Lotto, and Abdul Spadez himself. On 7/7, Abdul Spadez will do something most artists can't. . . turn his music into an open book, open journal. . . and in this case. . . an open Press Conference.
