What is the ALO StarQuest?

ALO StarQuest is a nationwide talent competition where one of ten finalists will win the chance to be the next cross-cultural ambassador through arts and entertainment. StarQuest is not a usual beauty and talent contest. More significantly, the contestants will be judged on criteria beyond their outer beauty, but rather their beauty within. Talent will be evaluated in terms of its co-relation to spreading cross-cultural awareness.The final ten round will be broadcasted on national television, hosted by Keri Kassem and judged by top executives, producers, designers and cultural leaders. The judges will evaluate contestants and make decisions based on presence, talent, accomplishments and set goals towards promoting diversity and the Middle Eastern culture.

What will I win?

The ultimate ALO StarQuest winner will receive a grand prize package valued at $25,000 including: - A travel tour of the Middle East with a cross-cultural exchange delegation - A makeover from major fashion designers and stylists. - The chance to be on the next cover of ALO Magazine

Package will vary depending on the nature of the finalist’s talent*. Each applicant must choose ONE of the following categories:

- Singer/ songwriter/ music artist will win one-year entertainment contract and a songwriting retreat to Paris with one of the major Producers in the US*- Model/Actor/Actress/Dancer* will receive cash and a one-year agency contract which with the top opportunities in the national and international markets.- Writer/Journalist/Media producer/Photographer/Fashion Designer will receive cash and a one-year contract to be a part of ALO editorial team and collaborate with its international media affiliates.* All talent demos must demonstrate a co-relation with the Middle East. They must all showcase an Arabic influence (i.e. Even if finalist does not sing in Arabic his/her music and instrumentation must have a Middle Eastern flare.)

Do I qualify to apply?

To be eligible to participate a candidate must:- Possess a talent and/or skill (from the categories mentioned above) that he/she uses in promoting cross-cultural understanding in general and Middle-Eastern cultural appreciation in specific. - Be involved in activities that contribute to promoting worldly awareness and harmonious living. - Have set goals to further global understanding of the Middle Eastern culture in all of its complexities.
