What is a Sportbike Gurl?
She is a woman of infinite power and stability. She is limitless, timeless and classic. She is strong, she is pure of heart and she is a free spirit. A sportbike gurl shall not to be tamed by wind, fire, rain, snow, man or motorcycle. A sportbike gurl is the icon that women world-wide seek to be. Independent, tough and sweet all bundled up in the beautiful form that is SHE.

Sportbike Gurls is the latest and greatest thing to hit the internet. It's not just a forum, it's an entire community devoted to women who love motorcycles. It was designed to provide women from all over the country, a place where they can feel comfortable talking about the one thing they all have in commom! Motorcycles!!!
In the last ten years women motorcycle riders have nearly doubled. Women now make up about 10 percent of the riding population and 25 percent of all new motorcycle sales purchases. But, even with that, there are not a lot of places for women to go to learn about things like gear, riding information, technical talk and such.
There have been many forums popping up on the internet that cater to women and motorcycles, but none of them can compare to Sportbike Gurls. Many women look to this community for comradarie, advice, information and entertainment and respect.
To quote one of the members, what makes this forum so great is "the fact that we can have such an active board because we talk about more than just bikes and remain relatively drama-free." The average member is considered to be "fun, witty and enthusiastic about riding".
With the Annual SBG Rally held every July, this makes Sportbike Gurls more than an online community. Members from all over the country and even the world, will be converging on Deal's Gap in North Carolina for the SBG BBQ, Slaying the Dragon, and the Charity Ride. It will be a 3 day event where members will meet and ride together and get to know the people that they normally only get to talk to online.
Sportbike Gurls offers more than just conversations about bikes and riding. It also offers support for those stationed overseas, for people going through hard times, or those just trying to pass the day. There is something here for everyone! Why Breast Cancer?
ANYONE can GET BREAST CANCERAn estimated 182,800 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in 2000.
Approximately 42,200 deaths will occur in women from breast cancer in 2000.
One in eight women or 12.6% of all women will get breast cancer in her lifetime.
Every 13 minutes a woman dies of breast cancer.
Approximately 1400 cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in men in 2000 and 400 of those men will die.
The first sign of breast cancer usually shows up on a woman's mammogram before it can be felt or any other symptoms are present.
Ninety-six percent of women who find and treat breast cancer early will be cancer-free after five years.
Oral contraceptives may cause a slight increase in breast cancer risk; however 10 years after discontinuing use of oral contraceptives the risk is the same as for women who never used the pill.
You are never too young to develop breast cancer! Breast Self-Exam should begin by the age of twenty.
